UniLodge @ UC - Guginya — Attraction in District of Belconnen

This was such a bad experience I had to leave within 6 months and had to break my bond. Firstly when I arrived, the place was filthy and by filthy I mean I saw 3 spiders chilling in my paid space without paying rent. Needless to say I had to kick them out. But on a serious note, I had paid a fees to get a clean room ( which I was refunded after I complained about it) and yet received a room which had a sticky desk and had many holes and spots on the wall. As an international student, I was forced to clean at night when I arrived and had to make a trip to Kmart to get a vacuum cleaner first thing in Australia. But this was a minor hiccup in what turned out to be a nightmare. I decided to cook on the third day and when I started cooking, the smoke alarm in my living room started to go off. Weirdly not the one in the kitchen, but the one in the living room. Turned out that the chimney installed in our specific apartment was just for show, the internals were not installed at all. To make it clear for the first six months, I had to order out everyday. It was a year ago and I did make many complaints regarding it so hopefully it has been fixed by now. However it was a truely bad experience and I cant in good faith tell anyone to live in that...

2 months after my departure, I still haven’t got the refund of my deposit. They told me once that they refunded me, but the week after, they asked for my bank details again, even though I sent them every single time they asked (it was at least 5 times). Then, I proceeded to get my cleaning fees back, because the flat was filthy when my roommates and I arrived. On the 16th of October, after weeks of arguments, they approved to waive those fees. On the 24th of December, they told me that they couldn’t refund the cleaning fees, pleading that it was a mandatory fee for everyone. They did not only kept my money for longer than what they should’ve, but they also took advantage of my patience by giving me hopes and eventually, ruining them...
