The National Motorcycle Museum is easily accessed from Taree & Gloucester & nearby locations. There is plenty of parking in the carpark & sufficient room for tourist buses, caravans, motor homes & a few undercover spots are available. There is a souvenir shop as you enter the museum which has a huge variety of t-shirts, caps, old signage, gifts etc.
Entry for adults is $15 ea & packages are available for families & concessions.
In general the bikes are displayed in groups of manufacturers with the majority of popular bikes having a good range of models produced over the years. In particular the BSA display was outstanding. Norton & Triumph displays were also excellent as was the displays for Ducati & Moto Guzzi.
Enthusiasts who are interested in AJS, Ariel, & other vintage motorcycle won't leave disappointed.
It's quite easy hearing other visitors telling their friends & families about their memories of certain bikes & which models they'd owned or remembered.
There are also a huge array of vintage cars, motorcycle racing posters, signs, clothing, memorabilia and antiques on display.
I rate this as a worthy venue to spend a...

I think something like 2,500 + motorbikes plus another 1,000 cars? (Dont quote me?) Plus hundreds of other displays. An unbelievable assortment of vehicles of every description from dirt bikes , to side car, speedway and scooters. From the first of its model through to more modern designs. You also have all the vintage cars and vehicles again of every description! It could have stayed there for a week and still not have taken it all in. This for me was an absolute highlight of my journey. Something there for everyone to enjoy, young or old! A must see for anyone traveling on the M1 . Five minute drive from the highway in a bestiful little town...

There is an amazing range of bikes to see, but it could be a little less crowded and there is a smell of stale petrol in some areas. Highly recommended for those with an interest in...
