What a large nut. My friend Simon said that he has seen (produced?) bigger, but that’s a tall order. As a competitor to the other world’s largest burl, this one competes in the same weight class, however it doesn’t have the same gravitas. Perhaps it is the fact that this one is hidden off to the side, placed awkwardly in a car park? Seems disrespectful for a lump of wood with such a reputation. Nevertheless, this burly bit of tree deserves your attention when you visit Port McNeill.
