Attended birthday party. Felt so bad for the party hosts! Had you asked me years ago, this place was cute, clean and fun! NOT the case anymore unfortunately. Save yourself parents! Sorry.
We had an extremely disappointing experience at this indoor playground. The structures were filthy and in terrible shape—one even had duct tape on the mat, where kids could potentially fall. My 8- and 5-year-old boys were running to me every few minutes with new complaints along with the other children whispering to us their complaints. The bathrooms were beyond disgusting, and the smell was unbearable. We ALL (guests of party as well as non guests) had to hold it until we got home. Painfully embarrassing for the hosts.
The party room was a nightmare—divided by a broken closet double folding doors (they don’t even close properly), the children’s tables are not sturdy, wobbly. Walls were dirty with tapes all over from prior parties. Laziness is shown - just a quick clean and GO. And the worst part of it all :(, it had a very strong, toxic cleaning supply odor that was both embarrassing and concerning (we are not talking about the scent of Lysol wipes or anything light of that manner) - we are taking about a heavy duty scent to the point we were concerned for the well-being of our guests. When I complained and asked to be moved to a different room, they offered to relocate us only after my guests had arrived, and I had already set up the decorations. They gave us a measly 5% discount as compensation. Was also told “manager” would call - no manager on site.
Other guests, both at my party and non-party goers, were equally appalled by the state of the place. Everyone agreed that, for the price you pay, you might as well go elsewhere. There are much better, cleaner playgrounds in Vaughan. Save yourself the embarrassment, parents—this is not the place to celebrate.
Like I said with many others : Go to another playground in Vaughan (even anywhere else in the GTA :)) , for what you pay and at least you see and feel the pride the owner/staff have in the place itself(bang for your buck) . This place just wants to take people’s money and give you the very least. You...
Read moreBefore starting I want to say that the employees here were great and accommodating, however the facility was unsafe and filthy. Most of the toys are old or don't work, many of the arcade games were out of order, there is sharp zipties everywhere, the padding is in questionable shape. They have a soccer room under the playground that has no lighting whatsoever. The slide is actually dangerously fast, one girl from our toddler party literally caught air on it and hit her head - they have signs at the top saying to hold on but a 4 year old cant read that and it clearly indicates 3 under must be accompanied at the bottom. It is clearly not well maintained or cleaned. And honestly there's not much to do. Even mcdonalds playground seems to be more fun for my kids. When you are spending nearly 400$ for a party I would expect more out of a facility and was honestly disappointed. Won't be returning here again. I feel duped and wish I had read the reviews first.
**UPDATE: I'd like to respond to the message received by Koala Kidz by firstly stating and emphasizing again that YOUR SIGN at the bottom of the slides clearly said 3 and UNDER must be accompanied on the slides - all toddlers in my party exceeded that age. To say that you feel it should have been obvious and that they must be accompanied when your sign clearly stated otherwise and admitting your slides are not safe is laughable. Secondly, what toddler area? The pile of old toys on the floor that don't even function and look like they've been pulled out of a donation box? Please do some self reflection is all I can say to the owner of this place. It is actually ludicrous that you charge what you do and how little effort you put into making it safe and somewhat presentable. I will never make the mistake of coming to this establishment again and warn others not to waste your money here. Other establishments are maybe 100$ more and have way more to offer with less pointy zip ties to stab your kids...
Read moreGO TO OTHER CHILDREN PLAY PLACES. VAUGHN HAS MANY OTHER ONES. Rude teenage staff on duty. Bad communication. They insulted and yelled at me in front of my kids. Pointing her finger at me, in derogation. My kids had a horrible time because the staff yelled at me. They were terrified the staff would yell at me again. I had to encourage them and tell them that bullies will not win. I wanted to just rush and pay so they would stop terrorizing me (and by extension my kids). I promised my kids a play place today, which is why I didn’t leave. But I will not be recommending this place. Teenage Karens in the making. Their poor parents. *post-response: the fact that this “establishment” thinks it’s ok to call a mother in front of their kids names, speaks for itself. There was no reason for me to “belittle” or “harass” staff since I paid for the tickets prior to visiting. It’s pathetic that this filthy place thinks treating patrons with disrespect (in front of children) is acceptable behaviour. If they really wanted to tell me off, they should’ve pulled me aside, as opposed to traumatizing my children. Unprofessional teenagers. Clearly unprofessional management who accept this tawdry behaviour. They received a 1 star (which should be a zero) and think I’m returning one day? For the benefit of my children, I thought it was clear from my review, that I will not be returning....
