Firstly, this hotel is quite opulent for what it is catering to all types of people. A massive lobby, comfortable rooms and excellent amenities. The hotel is one of the tallest in the area and promises great views. I stayed for 4 days in October, 2017 and the stay was fine. Breakfast was satisfactory although it caters more to the Chinese community, staff were hospitable. The main problem still remains with language as English is not known to all. Also, the hotel seemed to have too many staff. I am not sure if this is required but the lobby, the restaurant, the reception desk, even the corridors are swarming with staff. This was a bit discomforting sometimes but maybe it was needed. Sandwiches and continental food to some extent is available for dine-in. The Bar is small and setup well but sadly there is no life, no customers and always empty. It turned me away from having any drinks at all. ||The hotel is not remote, instead has a few shopping malls nearby with fast food joints. ||All in all, the reviews here are correct and it was a pleasant stay. No complaints but would recommend the staff to be more well versed with English.||Internet...
Read moreThis was my second business stay at Jinshi International hotel and the experience was as pleasant as my first visit. It is probably the tallest building in Nantong CBD ( easy to spot) and is also famous for its buffet dinner according to the locals. I ate most of my meals at the nearby Zhongnan Shopping mall (10 mins walk) however there’s also a new mall opposite the hotel with a few restaurants. The only thing that annoyed me during my stay was the air conditioning in my room/ the whole floor was turned off in October hence the room got quite stuffy and hot. It improved a little when I changed room to a different floor with a portable fan. Overall, a great location to stay for business - most of their front of house staff can converse in English. Free WIFI connection at the hotel...
Read moreI have stayed in China many times and this is definitely one one the better hotels.|I was welcomed with a grand entrance hall and friendly staff (a lot of staff).|Checking in was easy, I did not make a reservation and got a room within 10 minutes (good for China). I was located on the 50th floor which had great views of the nearby parks.|The hotel has a limited selection for room service but has a great buffet every day which was more than enough variety for my 3 week stay. Alternative food can be ordered by room service, but the lack of English speaking staff proved a problem for me.||Overall this was a great hotel, one of the best I have stayed in in China over the years, I would return to...
