深圳市南山博物館 — Attraction in Shenzhen

Namshan museum is a high quality local museum, everything here are well maintained and organized. The museum is free of charge, and open from 10am to 6pm. The regular exhibition is about the past and future of Namshan, and they always have other exhibitions and all of them are free. This museum is awesome, as it's spacious inside, so you have lot of room to read the content without being disturb. All it's exhibitions with both Chinese and English description and those English are well translated. Staffs here will keep helping the visitors and they clean the glass frequently, so you can always clearly seeing the exhibits. I've been to a few museums in mainland China and most of them are very poorly maintained. Luckily this one is an exception to that rule. The exhibitions they have on display are interesting and well organized. There is English on most of the information cards (though I think it was translated using translation software as a lot of it is a bit awkwardly worded). Overall not a bad stop if you live in Shenzhen. Not really worth it if you're just passing through...

a nice choice for indoor activity in shenzhen to have a glance into the local history (and other splendid time-limited special exhibitions), suggested duration ~1 to 3 hours to walk through the exhibitions.
