Well worth a visit ,quite unassuming from the road. But once inside starting at the gift shop/reception guided tours of some rooms of the Chateau, they are wonderfully presented. if your French is not perfect don’t worry you will be given a guide in English explaining what the guide says about each room. Our guide was really friendly and helpful imparting information in English if we asked. The Chateau is wonderfully maintained with furniture going back to the 15th century and a connection to Napoleon. The gardens are huge with areas for you to have a picnic. Well worth a visit

Excellent visit. The grounds are extensive and beautifully laid out with magnificent topiary. The modest entry fee is worth it for the gardens alone. We took the guided tour of the Chateau, (in French however we were leant a guide book in English which was useful) about an hour. Once being a hunting lodge, it is full of stuffed animals and interesting features. It's pretty much as it was when gifted to the city of Tours in the 1920's . It was a very hot day, and my only gripe was not being able to buy a cold beer in the tea room.
