Wildlife Park Eekholt — Attraction in Amt Bad Bramstedt-Land

We reserved a BBQ place to celebrate a birthday more than a month ago. When we arrived, the surprise was a little paper glued at the tikets dispenser saying that due to a very hot day and the risk of fire all BBQ where forbidden. It is reasonable so my problem is not about it, it is about the lack of clear info about this possibility when you make the reservation and the lack of empathy of the administration regarding the problem of having to see what to do now, been in there with a lot of meat, no cooling system in a very hot day and trying to see where to do to get something to eat (no mention the frustration for the guest). There is a restaurant inside the park but as expected the prices are very high, plus considering how much I paid already for the place for BBQ I am not going to technically use and having to buy more food. Finally they allowed me to go outside to get some food for our guests but no help in how to avoid the meet we brought to get bad while we are at the park or help refunding or negotiating a way to reduce the new cost I have. At the end: the lack of Policy, planning (sure to first time it happens) and alternatives to help the customer.. lack of empathy too...but not surprise with that being here. Sad because the place is very well equiped...

The place is great. The nature is amazing. The staffs are the best. Generally very helpful, friendly and prompt to help with anything. The hygiene concept for this difficult time is also totally fine. But what impressed me the most on our visit yesterday was this: I didn't check the price for the entrance and accidentally paid for my daughter as well and only when we were leaving did I realized that only kids above 4 years old have to pay 9.50€ (my daughter is 3 1/2). It was completely my own fault and it was hours ago since we bought the tickets, the same girl at the cashier was gone. We still approached the nice lady at the other cashier and explained what happened, she looked at my daughter once and quickly gave us the money back with no further ado. I was impressed. Not only about the 9.50€ (because I was ready to accept it, since it was my own fault). But the fairness and honesty of the staff. We promise we will come back even after my daughter turns 4 and will dutifully pay the 9.50€ :) Til then I wish all the best to the staffs and...

Keine Empfehlung.

Zugegeben, als Hamburger ist man verwöhnt mit Tier- und Wildparks in der Umgebung. Dennoch platziere ich den Wildpark Eekholt weit abgeschlagen hinter Schwarze Berge und Lüneburger Heide - warum?

Zunächst gab es leider ein unschönes Spektakel beim Einlass, welches aber nicht mal einen Einfluss auf meine Bewertung hat, die würde genauso ausfallen - das Gute vorweg: kaum Wartezeit.

Schulkinder bekamen freien Eintritt und eine Überraschung, wenn sie mit der Schultüte kamen. Wir waren mit Freunden dort, die beiden Mädels stellten sich voller Freude vor und dann hieß es - "Vorschule? Nein, das geht nicht"

Leider ist mit keinem Wort auf der Internetseite erwähnt, dass dies ausgeschlossen ist - also trat ich in eine Diskussion mit der Dame am Eingang.

Aussagen wie "Ich bin neu hier und nur Aushilfe" oder "Das Büro ist heute nicht besetzt" sind aber leider wenig hilfreich, wenn es gilt, einen Konflikt zu klären. Freundliches Auftreten würde darüber hinaus auch helfen.

Am Ende gab es freien Eintritt und keine Überraschung für die Kleinen aber hey, wenigstens hat sie uns nicht rausgeschmissen, oder?! - Ironie Ende

Nun zum Park:

Die Parkplatzsituation ist katastrophal und damit meine ich nicht mal das Platzangebot, das geht. Aber der Zustand der Parkplätze (extrem unebenes Gelände, sehr viele Schlaglöcher und ein richtig schön großes direkt bei der Ausfahrt) und die Entfernung dann teilweise zum Eingang. Für Familien, die auf Barrierefreiheit achten müssen, würde ich hier schon eine Empfehlung aussprechen, einen anderen Park aufzusuchen. Dann ist der Park sehr weitläufig, das ist natürlich an sich schön, aber leider ist er auch nicht gut ausgeschildert und eher wirr angelegt. Es gibt keine ausgeschilderte kleine, mittlere und große Runde, wie sonst in anderen Parks.

Und gemessen an der Fläche ist das Angebot an Tieren gefühlt sehr wenig, das erscheint mir subjektiv in anderen Wildparks deutlich besser.

Auch die Fütterungsangebote von Tieren für Kinder sehe ich in anderen Parks deutlich vorteilhafter.

Spielplätze sind vorhanden, aber auch hier, da gibt es andere Parks, die hier vorne liegen.

Essensangebote:

Viele Grillplätze, weiß gar nicht, wer die alle benutzen soll, ansonsten nur Essensmöglichkeiten am Anfang/Ende, auch das lösen andere Parks besser - Das Unwohlsein nach Currywurst/Pommes gab's inklusive.

Sauberkeit auf den Toiletten ist ebenfalls nicht die Beste. Klar, das ist sicher auch situativ, aber ich bewerte meinen Besuch und an diesem Tag kann ich da keinen Preis vergeben.

Lange Rede, kurzer Sinn:

Ich war einmal da und werde nicht wiederkehren. Darüber hinaus würde ich empfehlen, zunächst andere Tierparks/Wildparks ins Auge zu fassen, je nach...
