Harz National Park is a forested reserve in the Harz mountains of north-central Germany, spanning the states of Lower Saxony and Saxony-Anhalt. Themed trails wind through the park’s beech and spruce woods, including the Bark Beetle Trail and the Dandelion Trail. Park wildlife includes deer, wild boar, woodpeckers and lynxes. A narrow-gauge steam train climbs up Mt. Brocken, with a botanical garden at its peak.
