Nehru Mantap — Attraction in Karnataka

Nehru Mantap is located near Raja's Seat which is in the town of Madikeri, on a hill. Overlooking the Madikeri Radio Station, Nehru Mantap is one of the lesser known tourist spots, but is worth a visit.

Nehru Mantap promises tourists with some of the calm and relaxed time with refreshing natural setting to accompany you. Tired of crowd and hustle bustle, this is the place perfect place to enjoy some seclusion and privacy. The views of sunset and sunrise from here are exceptional.

History: Nehru Mantapa was built in the memory of former Prime Minister Jawaharlal Nehru who visited Kodagu in 1957. He had witnessed the picturesque view of Madikeri, from the point where the watching tower is situated today. Hence, the Mantapa was named after Nehru. Timing: 6 AM to 6 PM

A short distance away from Raja seat, but not a tourist hotspot. It is situated just beside the AIR station.

To reach the view point, one has to climb around 50 stairs & the climb is steep. After you reach the top, you can enjoy the view from there. But don't expect any amenities there as it is very less frequented by tourists & also it is very windy at the top.

It is situated 3-4 Km from madikeri town. You have to climb 40-50 Steps then you will rich at the view point. Its a nice place to spent some time. Cool and calm place. Best time to visit early morning or in the evening.
