This Place is in Dehuroad, Pune. It is just the entrance of Pune, If you are coming from Mumbai via old Mumbai-Pune high way. The temple is located on Hill in Dehuroad cantonment area. The temple is very old and famous in nearby area. View from top of the hill is awesome. One side of hill you can see the hills, rivers and landscape view and on other side of hill it is concrete forest (PCMC & Dehuroad area) of Pune. The places can be visited in any season of the year. It has its own beauty in each season. If you are visiting place in summer or winter, try to catch up sunrise / sunset time. Nearby people also like to do some morning walk and exercise on the early morning sessions here, it will give you a full tank of Oxygen and fill your day with full power. Sunset & late evening time is also very admiring as one side there is a sun set in 7-8 layers of hills and after sun set there is very beautiful lighting of Dehuroad, PCMC, Chakan Industrial zone, Old high way and Express high way. You can have a side top view of Sahara Subrata Roy Cricket stadium of Pune from here. If it is Monsoon, try to be here in day time as there are very less possibility to have opportunity of sunrise or sunset. In monsoon the hill and surround area are now converted into lush green landscapes. It is very beautiful to have view of surrounding hills and lush green landscapes in day time.
Temple is also a very peaceful and empowering. Its traditional Hindu temple dedicated to lord Ayyappan worshiped by mostly Kerala people. People come here, to come out from the stress of busy week life and enjoy some hours of week-end in very peaceful and empowering place.
Note: If you are visiting place in winter or monsoon be prepared for cold wind as it is top of the hill.
The temple and area are not open 24 X 7. It is closing at near about 8:30 PM, so plan your visit...
Read moreFab place to visit.......sunset from here is an awesome moment to end ur day with bye byes....... Talking about these area: So well it's under the military force, so taking pictures and videography is strictly prohibited 🚫, as well as they will jot allow u to stay for longer time in the premises. Plz take a note that entry without helmet is restricted, so if u don't have 🪖 u have to walk , so if u want to talk, walk and have quality time plz don't bring ur helmates ...and don't worry their are places to park ur bike at the entrance.
Talking about ayyappa temple: One is located in sabarimala Village in Kerala, Ayyappa was the 3 son of lord Shiva from mohini avtar of shree Vishnu. There are many small temple of other God and goddess within the temple like lord Ganesha, lord kartikey, maa Durga and lord Hanuman.
Personal opinion: personally I love the south Indian temple as they don't use artificial ligh in there temple (only nature light like sunlight and 🪔 are in use). Padmanam temple is one of the greatest example if u want to experience it.
Conclusion: Plz follow what the instructions of volunteers and co-ordinate with them.....over my experience was too good fortunately we got aarti at 18:30 which was peaceful experience of mine. Winds of these area has another level of positive vibes.....Must go and should experience them Thankyou!! Hope u find my review...
Read moreToday me and my family went to this Temple where of course the temple is very beautiful and the view with sunset too, but in past 2, 3 years the staff whose working is very rude. Today we did witness such thing by The Watchmen who doesn't let the people wait nor enjoy the view nor they let you click pictures only of scenery but also the complain a particular person number plate to the main gate watchman where the army people are asking for fine of thousand rupees from families who try to take photos of theirself with scenery and none of it has to do with the coordination or Corporation with the Army officers. Which I think personally should be looked after either they should completely restrict civilians to visit this Temple for security purpose of Army or civilians themselves should not visit this place as there is no bench nor any point where you can sit and enjoy the nature as well as pray. The Watchmen and staff here this respect people as well as the treat them rudely so I would suggest personally not visiting here...
