Located just 2 km away from Panchagani Bus stand. We travelled from Pune started at 05:30 in the morning had breakfast on the way and finally reached to this place in the morning @ 09:30. This is the first place which we visited during our Mahabaleshwar trip. So amazing place and luckily we reached there in the morning which is perfect time to visit this place. Actually Sunrise time is perfect to visit this place, but we started from Pune in the morning so couldn't possible to us to reach for Sun rise. It is also perfect destination for Sunset and there is a serene place give an alluring view of the Sunset. If possible try to reach this place during Sunrise or Sunset.

Sydney Point is named after Sir Sidney Beckwarth, who was commander in Chief and senior member of the Council and worked as the Governor of Bombay.

This is a scenic location to get amazing views of the Krishna valley and surrounding water bodies. This is eminent for offering lovely views. This place also give the view of Krishna River flowing at the bottom, the picturesque view of the Dhom Lake.

There is sufficient parking area to park your two wheeler / Four wheeler. After parking the vehicle one can reach the top point by walking on side road or by climbing around 50+ steps. Standing on this edge visitors can witness the Panchagani tabletop and the Krishna River flowing below, which is very unique experience.

Sydney point is recently renowned for offering beautiful views of the Krishna Valley, Kamal gad Fort, Dhom Dam and the city of Wai. Although there are many tempting attractions across Panchgani, the search for the best view would lead you to the Sydney point. I personally liked this...
