It’s more of a petting farm than a working family farm.
Overpriced: to get in they charged 25 Euro for two children and two adults. Want to feed the animals? That’s .50 extra per person for a bag of animal feed. The place is poorly maintained; looks like it may have been nice a decade or more ago but for the price they are fleecing people.
Upon entering the staff were not friendly and just said how many although it was obvious that four were standing in front of them. The man then got the card machine, put it down in front of me without putting any amount into it and walked off. The woman at the till then took it away and again asked how many, put in the 25 Euro and said here. Not a welcoming experience. And if you’re going to change so much for so little and make adults pay, even a gesture of a tea or coffee would be something but literally everything was extra.
The toys are often broken. For example, the go carts had flat tires and were unattended. The other toys were damaged or also broken including toy horses etc.
They get two stars for the fact that the kid could ride a horse for 30 seconds and that they have ‘free Wifi’.
It’s not a place I can recommend, sadly. Just a huge letdown that robbed 25 Euro from our wallet. It’s not nice to...
Read moreLovely spot for a visit, especially with children. Pleasant walk around a small farm with plenty of goats, cows, sheep, alpacas, hens etc in a barn, in pens and in fields. Not huge, but perfect for children or older people that can’t walk too far. Cats and kittens roaming free. Entry price is reasonable and you can pay €1 extra for feed for the animals which is nice. Loads of picnic tables and a coffee shop with snacks. A big barn with toys for small children to play in, and benches and tables for parents to supervise them while having their coffee! Also a nice little pedal-cart track. NB dogs not allowed, even on a lead, unless they are small dogs that stay in your arms or in a doggy backpack and don’t bark at the animals. Staff were very helpful and let me go in with my small dog in a backpack to see if she was going to manage ok before charging me the entrance fee, which I felt was very decent. Very friendly and welcoming staff. You could put in a couple of very enjoyable hours here and it makes for a welcome change from the...
Read moreI must say, I was so impressed with the staff there today. It was a very hot day... for Ireland 🇮🇪 and my husband, our girl and I were taking my mother out for the day (she's in a nursing home) and we wanted somewhere near to have lunch except tramore as it would be super busy there today, crowds everywhere. The staff of copper coast farm left us have lunch there without having to pay the full admission prices (as we weren't going in around the farm or the park). They were extremely friendly and helpful and even put up a parasol for us and the food was spot on. Delicious!
The animals are well taken care of (I visit here with my girl every few months since she was very young). They've a lovely variety of species, especially the ponies, donkies and the goats. So adorable feeding them!
Very well kept and maintained. Toilets are clean as is cafe indoors area.
Only fault I have is, the kids tractors and trikes etc could do with some updating but the animals come first in this place and that's most...
