Renowned for its breathtaking displays of iris flowers, the park is a popular destination for nature lovers and tourists seeking a serene and beautiful environment. The park’s meticulously maintained landscapes and traditional Japanese aesthetics make it a charming spot to visit year-round. History and Significance

Suigo Sawara Ayame Park was established to celebrate and preserve the natural beauty of the region's waterways and wetlands. The place is very nice for a walk especially during summer. It’s just next to Tonegawa so you get some cool breeze from the river. There are different types of lotus for those who love them. Entrance fee is ¥800 during the blood iris festival from the end of may to end of June. ¥600 from May to August excluding the blood iris festival time. ¥200 April and from September to November. You can also ride a small boat through the park and view the lovely flowers beside the waterways. There are some stilts for for children to try walk on them. Enough parking space even for people with disabilities, no...

Impressive collection of irises (to be watched in June, gets crowded during the matsuri time). Water lilies, hydrangea, wisteria, etc on top, neatly organized paths, ponds, hills, bridges, boat rides. I had quite hard time to find the entrance (walking from Hitachitone river along the canal towards Yodaura Bay) --- signs on that looong fence around the garden would've...
