Fantasy World, once a promising theme park, now presents a mixed experience. Its unique design and architecture can still be appealing to those looking for a photography backdrop or a brief nostalgic visit, but the park's deteriorating condition and limited activities can be a disappointment for those expecting a fully functional theme park experience. Visitors should set their expectations accordingly. Pros of Fantasy World: Unique Concept: Fantasy World is renowned for its medieval European-inspired architecture and design, offering visitors a distinctive and magical atmosphere rarely found in the Philippines. Scenic Views: The theme park is set on a hill overlooking stunning views of Batangas, providing a picturesque backdrop for photos and a sense of tranquility. Nostalgia: For those who visited Fantasy World during its peak, it can evoke a sense of nostalgia, recalling the dream of a grand theme park that once was. Photography Opportunities: The park's unique and well-preserved structures make it a great place for photography, with various nooks and crannies offering picturesque scenes. Cons of Fantasy World: Limited Activities: Fantasy World has been largely closed to the public and lacks the vibrant attractions and entertainment options typically expected from a theme park. Neglect and Deterioration: Over the years, Fantasy World has suffered from neglect and deterioration, with many of its structures and attractions showing signs of wear and disrepair. Uncertain Future: The park's future remains uncertain, and visitors might find the overall experience disappointing due to the limited access and underwhelming condition of the site. Accessibility: Fantasy World is located in Lemery, Batangas, which might not be convenient for travelers based in Metro Manila or other urban centers. Entrance Fees: Despite the limited access and attractions, visitors may still be required to pay an entrance fee, which can be seen as an overcharge given the current state of the park.

Have you heard of fantasy world in Lemery, Batangas? Well truth to be told if my wife didn't tell me about it. I'm pretty sure I too wouldn't have heard of it. It's around 30 minutes away from Tagaytay proper and if you are heading to Nasugbu or Caleruega I would suggest drop by. Even if it's to take photos as we did. There really isn't much to see once you get there, other than the beautiful surroundings, lake Taal in the distance and the buildings within the land area of the so-called Fantasy world. It makes you wonder who the hell built this place in the middle of nowhere (there are sadly no plaques explaining of how the place became about and who the owner maybe). It's intriguing because it's actually a pretty little spot which somehow brings you to a different place. You may not be able to bring water or liquids into the place, which is understandable since the small stores within the area need to make some money. The cover charge is P100 per head when you enter the facility. It's quite cheap considering how beautiful the place is kept and how great the surroundings really are (see photos below) just be sure to take your rubbish if you bring some-in. Sometimes Filipino's carelessly forget to throw their rubbish away so do the right thing and do that. Other than that, may have to visit again sometime down the road. And actually climb the towers, I imagine the view from the top is as good as the view we had from climbing the smaller tower which has a small bridge you may walk across.

Like most, we we’re a bit shocked that we had to pay P1000 entrance fee which is good for 10 people regardless if your alone. What we did was to wait for other visitors and asked them if we could share the entrance fee. Driving inside, you could just imagine what it would have looked like if this was operational! Parking space is not a problem, given the entrance fee few peps will want to go in. No food nor drinks are permitted. You’ll have to buy inside. While strolling around, you’ll really feel like you’re not in the Philippines. Everywhere you look there are interesting structures. A lot of places to take your videos, photos, selfies, and groupies. Which is the only thing you can do in this place. If you’re brave enough, you can even go up a fairly high tower. I felt a bit nervous when going up as I sensed that the tower was swaying a bit and add to that some area of the metal stairs looked like rusted already. Once you’re up there, everything washes away while looking at the awesome view but then again you still need to head down. I will recommend this place to anyone wanting to feel like their transported to a foreign land. Make sure your camera has enough free disk space for those videos and photos. Also make sure your device is fully charge and might as well have a battery bank ready, just in case. Have a great trip!

A CASTLE SITS ATOP A hill in the Philippines, its colorful walls adding an unexpected pop of color to the surrounding greenery. The stalwart structure, which looks like an image straight from a fairytale, seems oddly out of place. There were grand plans for the castle and its surrounding theme park to become the “Disneyland of the Philippines.” Called Fantasy World, it was meant to rival the beloved international amusement parks. But for the people behind Fantasy World, opening the park was a dream that never came true. The businessman who backed the project ran into financial issues before construction was complete, forcing him to abandon his plan. Now, the castle’s once-bright exterior is fading. Paint peels from the walls of its unfinished rooms. The rides lay dormant, never able to grumble to life beneath hordes of delighted children. Though the park couldn’t open as planned, you can still enter and explore the Disneyland that could have been. You can walk across the rope bridge that leads to the park’s tree house, which offers beautiful views of the local scenery. You can even climb the castle’s towers and feel like a real-life Rapunzel surveying the empty kingdom.

It's prettier than I expected. ❤️ I'm so fan of old buildings. Tip for everyone. 100 pesos entrance fee 5000 pesos if you would do a photoshoot inside. I don't know why it's that expensive since there's not much inside. And the price is really high, like 5K. 🤦🏻♀️🤷🏻♀️ Anyway, I still enjoyed the view, let's just hope that the owner will flourish the plants there more and hope to finally see that the rides there were working. There are few man power to maintain the place so please to those who would visit the place, let's help the employees there to maintain it's cleanliness and beauty. ❤️ Surely i will come back here. Due to shady clouds, pictures were not captured with good lightning from the sun. Photos were edited in Snapseed.🤗

This place is great for picture taking. It's a fantasy theme place where their main attraction is their castles. The view is great and very Instagram worthy. Photographers can even go to this place to take awesome snaps. The price may be costly depending on the number of persons. Their minimum entrance fee is 1000 pesos for 10 persons or less. If you are more than 10 persons, it will cost you 100 pesos per person. For me the price is very worth it considering how good the place is. It just depends on you if your fee will be worthy. For us, i think, we spent 2-3 hours just to take photos on this place. If you are looking for a place for photoshoots or just taking Instagram or Facebook photos, this is a great place for you.
