Visited here this evening and initially the impression is very good.

Unfortunately service and attention drops away quite quickly.

The starters we ordered were excellent, as was the wine and other drinks we had.

We ordered a meat platter. Unfortunately the meat was overcooked, dry and tasted disgusting.

The waiter was nowhere to be seen, which is not surprising given the amount of tables/customers he had to attend to, so I asked one of his work colleagues to fetch me a manager.

The manager arrived and then the evening took an uncomfortable turn.

Manager #1 was arrogant and rude. I told him the problems with the meat but he just became argumentative and tried to fob me off with the usual rubbish you encounter when an establishment has poor customer service, such as it's the same as everyone else and they're not complaining, Yadda Yadda.

We were then ignored and the food remained on our table for about another hour whilst we finished our drinks

Eventually we lost patience and went looking for someone to get our bill/check.

When presented it still had the meat platter on the bill, so I explained to the waiter I was happy to pay for everything but would not be paying for the meat platter.

Manager #2 enters the ring and we go through the same song and dance we have with Manager #1.

As Manager #2 was doing nothing other than repeating what had previously been discussed I asked fo the Police to be called. Manager #2 said the Police will just say you have to pay. Call them and if that's the case we'll get the British Embassy involved... Manager #2 then disappeared.

In comes Manager #3. Who is clearly their local 'Bruiser' about 7' tall and chiseled from granite. Advertising himself as Manager head of Security.

Same song, but the dance ended when I asked him what business it was of his if I had already discussed the situation with the other managers and if nothing had changed in their position to get the Police... After a couple of minutes of Manager #2 talking with the kitchen and probably saving a bit of face, he grudgingly agreed to remove the cost of the meat platter from the Bill, which I then gladly signed and went on our way back where I write this review from, the Caru Cu Bere, which is at the opposite end of the spectrum for quality and customer service.

So, if you're looking for somewhere nice to go that has end to end quality, give Beraria H a miss and go to Caru Cu...

Had a nice walk in the park on a Sunday spring day and decided to stop here for lunch and for some sun. There was only one table free on the terrace, indeed it was table for about 6 people but we were only 2, however when asking the employee he told us we can sit here no problem.

1.After we ordered, another employee came by asking us to move to different table because a large group came by. I was surprised that he wanted to move us to a shady table and not only that, is that it only asked us (even though there were other 6-7 tables of the same size as ours) he only asked us. Of course we didn't move but I was surprised about such ask, it not normal. Also I was surprised why the question was only for us and not other tables.

2.While we were enjoying the sun and waiting for the order, bartenders were bringing food to other tables. All the orders they were bringing were messed up in terms that they were always bringing them to the wrong table (not sure what big restaurant is this if you don't even number your tables). What kind of people did you hire? I was under the impression they just woke up or something.

3.All the orders were taken on paper (not electronically), again you have such high prices, but you can't even make this process more efficient?

A carbonated drink was ordered and brought by can (and straw), not even asked for a glass?

5.We were preparing to leave after eating and asked for the check, we asked it from one of the colleagues there (it wasn't the same person that took our order). This person replied, you need to ask to whom you ordered. I was again mesmerized by this. zero, but zero communication between the team, zerp customer service.

6.In the end, we've paid for the order and we were asked what is the amount of tip to leave. For all of the above that happened, the tip was zero. The problem here is that the ask was not if you want to leave tip or not, the ask was how much tip?

Now as a summary, I do understand that maybe the staff was taken by surprise after the COVID pandemic (even though restrictions were lifted for almost a year now), but this is not an excuse as you have increased your prices to the roof but you are not offering...

Review: Berăria H - Mixed Experience Due to Unpleasant Staff Behavior

I recently visited Berăria H, and unfortunately, my overall experience was marred by an incident involving a staff member. While the location of the establishment is undeniably pleasant, the encounter with an aggressive individual significantly impacted my perception of the establishment.

Upon my arrival, I was immediately struck by the inviting ambiance and charming decor of Berăria H. The location itself boasted an appealing atmosphere, which added to my initial anticipation of a delightful experience. However, my excitement quickly dissipated when I encountered a particularly aggressive staff member.

Regrettably, a male staff member approached me, shouting and threatening to have me expelled from the premises. He even went so far as to mention the involvement of the establishment's bodyguards, implying that physical violence could be inflicted upon me. Such behavior is wholly unacceptable in any customer service setting and left me feeling shocked and uncomfortable.

Despite the unpleasantness of this incident, it is important to note that the location itself remains aesthetically pleasing. The atmosphere at Berăria H is still a positive aspect worth mentioning. The venue's design and layout contribute to a visually appealing and enjoyable environment for patrons.

However, the experience I had with the staff member overshadowed any positives I may have found in the venue itself. The incident left me with a lasting negative impression of Berăria H, and I cannot overlook the unprofessional behavior of the individual involved.

It is my hope that Berăria H takes this feedback seriously and addresses the issues related to their staff's conduct. Excellent customer service is an essential aspect of any establishment, and incidents like the one I encountered can severely impact the overall experience...

A friend of mine has booked a table for 6 to watch the Romania vs. Nederland game. As per their policy, we had to pre-buy a voucher ticket of 100 lei per person to be used during the event in order to buy food and drinks. When we got sitted (as you can also see in the picture), we noticed that at least half of us were not able to see the game because of the umbrellas on the terrace. After we brought this to our waters attention, she said that they are going to lower it in order for that to not be an issue. Aldough, we raised our concerns at least 20 min before the game started they have lowered it 15 minutes into the game (me seeing 30% of the screen for that time). As it started raining, some of the guests asked to raise the umbrellas again, and the staff did so. As I and my friends didn't get the opportunity to see the first half in proper condition, I asked the waiter to bring someone who could assist us. The manager that came started by reasoning that the umbrellas were necessary so that they won't get wet... and asked what he should do: "Move us in the rain?" This remark came as a slap on the face because we and 80% of the terrace were already sitting in the rain. After this, I explained my point, with the information that I presented already, but in a much rude tone, he offered to look into moving us inside where we stayed for the second half. This experience presented a clear lack of planning and customer service on their part! On a side note, the part of the group that ordered food before the game started it was received around 25 min later while the other waited over 60 minutes this suggested that they forgot about it since when we brought it up they took around 20 minutes to bring it up. And for the icing on the cake at the end... the tip was included as an extra 10% on the bill. A point that I felt too tired to bring up to them.
