Requesens Castle — Attraction in la Jonquera

Varias veces quería visitar este castillo. He visto algunos fotos de castel de Requesens en el Internet y lo quería ir para verlo. Por la mapa he visto que para llegar debe usar el camino de tierra que va por la montaña. Gracias que he cogido el 4x4! En el principio se puede llegar hasta castillo con un turismo pero debe ir con cuidado! El castillo está situado encima de una montaña en puig Neulos en la altura de 512m. Esta bastante cerca de Jonquera. Para llegar solo cuesta los últimos 15km por el camino de tierra. Hay muchas curvas el camino estrecho y el estado de nivel media. Puede llegar tranquilo hasta castillo. Al lado hay un pàrquing libre y bastante espacioso. Castillo tiene mucho encanto! Lo primero es bien conservado! En el siglo XVIII has pasada última reforma pero con mismas piedras de montaña y no lo ves la differencia de antiguos y de la reforma. Ahora es un castillo de verdad y no es las ruinas medievales cuál hay muchas. Hay varias circulos de de defensa amurallado. También hay muchos edificios bien conservados dentro de los muros que ayudan aprender como estaba la vida medieval en castillo. Por eso este castillo estaba interesado de Salvador Dali para comprar para su esposa Gala. Desde los jóvenes el quería comprar para ella un castillo. Y cuando estaba mayor empeso a buscar por toda Cataluña y en final has comprado en Púbol. Se compró allí porque un muro de castillo es un parte de la iglesia al lado. El siempre pensado de Dios... El castillo tiene mucho encanto. Hay muros, hay torres, hay entradas protegidas hay de todo. Y claro hay muy buenas vistas desde los muros y ventanas. Pues yo recomendó a visitar este bonito castillo! Pero debe saber que las visitas solo puede hacer de excursión. Debe hacer una reserva por teléfono. Hay una página oficial de castillo...

Visiting feels very different from the usual tourist attraction. First, there is the remote location, surrounded by mountains as far as the eye can see. Everything is part of the vast estate. And there is driving there over six kilometres of gravel road through valley and around steep mountain side, passing through cork oak forest. It is a mini adventure just getting there and well worth the trip. Forget manicured castles with hundreds of tourists and gift and coffee shops. This is just raw castle and fascinating to explore. Please book ahead of time as the groundskeeper will ask for the tour language and will send you exact directions and some advice on how to get to the castle, the drive up the mountain is not asphalted and might not be for the faint of heart or most cars.
