We were due to visit Mon 17th Oct (on our way from Leicester to Kent).. However due to protesters climbing the QE2 Bridge our route was changed and we didn't go via Essex, I emailed c'services to see if it could be changed to the Friday so we could visit on our way back to Leicester - the response was quick and positive, so from a customer care point of view I can't fault them. We arrived at the upside down house around 11am on Fri 21st Oct, we were the only people there.. (half term for us whilst the rest of the country still at school) so we had more than enough time to get some great shots. The lady on the entrance booth was extremely friendly and even popped in to see how we were getting on and suggested some amusing ways to get good photos. The house itself is small and had there of been other families in there (particularly if they had little ones who ran everywhere and didn't understand to keep out of others photos) our experience would have been very different. We had the place to ourselves for about 40 minutes before anyone else came in, therefore I'll say we had a great time. The website states you get 20 mins and that it can be busy..just glad it wasn't like...

It wasn't overly busy but people and kids kept walking into/getting in the way of our photos when we was waiting patiently for them to finish their photos then take our turn. The price was reasonable, even for the small amount of time we was in the House, easy to book online and we will definitely be...

I need to mention about the lady at the ticket counter as well. She was very friendly and simply awesome. She gave some tips on how to take good pictures here and even took some pics of the family herself. That was very kind of her and I honestly haven't seen very many friendly people like that recently. I was stupid and forgot to ask her name. It wouldn't be an overstatement to say that she made this experience very enjoyable for us. People like this are an asset to the establishment.
Please do give it a shot if you are around Lakeside. More importantly, spend a few min to figure out how to take good photos...
