It's been ages since we've done a room escape (thanks 2020s...) so couldn't pass up the opportunity to see what was available on our weekend away to Salisbury. We were just glad to have a go at one again and wouldn't have minded either way but we felt we got really lucky finding this one. We did Spectre - great theming, great mix of puzzles (testing both brain and dexterity) and some unexpected bits and bobs along the way that made it a really fun and challenging game, even though we've done loads before. There were two of us but this would work equally well (if not better) with more as there's plenty to keep people busy. Really great game - a lot of effort has gone into it and it shows. Thanks Andy (and Charlie...) for being great hosts and for nudging us along. If ever we're back in the area we'll definitely check out the other games. Tip: Remember to read the email beforehand to check the address you need to be at. I very nearly took us to the wrong place because we'd happened to see the booking centre in a shopping centre the previous day. Luckily I checked before we headed out. Spectre is at a different location so remember to check and follow the instructions in the email :)

Absolutely amazing escape room experience! The puzzles were really challenging and satisfying (and incredibly well made!), lots of unexpected twists and turns and a brilliant adventure from start to finish. Some escape rooms that I have been to previously neglect the story, but this time we were totally immersed in the plot straight away – trying to solve the puzzles and escape in time, while discovering more about the situation we were in! Such a great experience, and brilliant hosts as well. Would recommend to everyone!

Fantastic atmospheric puzzle experience in the heart of old Salisbury. We were a group of 16 who came as part of a social for Halloween. The bar was stocked full of local beers and drinks and the owners did a great job of keeping everyone entertained throughout. All the games were well thought out and kept everyone engaged. The 800 year old venue was the perfect location for the theme! Can highly recommend if you're looking for an activity in Salisbury!

We booked a last-minute slot at Live Escape Salisbury on a whim back in April - we were a group of 5, consisting of four adults and one 12-year-old (3/5 visiting from the US). This was our very first escape room, as we had always talked about doing an escape room together but had just never gotten around to it. I was initially drawn to Live Escape Salisbury because the website had a lot of personality and an NHS discount was offered.

Needless to say, we had an absolute blast!! And I honestly don't think we would have made it without my little sister's help!!

SPECTRE is such a wonderfully immersive experience, strongly supported by an interesting backstory and many different props and puzzles in keeping with the theme. The puzzles are tricky and varied, requiring a number of different skills to complete, and there are a few surprises along the way. In the end, "The Team With No Name" made it out with only 49 seconds to spare!

It was certainly a bonus to be able to meet the hosts at the end. You can definitely tell they have such a strong passion and drive for what they do! Can't wait until the next Live Escape Salisbury game! But until then... If you haven't done this escape room yet, get out...

I regularly play DnD here with my husband and newly acquired friends! I recommend the table top tavern for the following reasons:

  1. Brad is a very good DM and has made an amazing new realm we can explore in every campaign, it's a fun otherworldly adventure that makes a great new hobby for anyone to try.
  2. it's lovely to meet people my age and have a new adventure every time
  3. I could see this being a good team building experience because everyone gets together to have a great new adventure instead of thinking of day to day stuff.
  4. the tabletop tavern seems like something out of a fantasy/medieval film/game and it's absolutely amazing playing DND and possibly other games there!
  5. my husband played tabletop games before, I haven't but we are both absolutely loving it because Brad is really amazing to host a game that suits everyone.
  6. it's a themed DND place where you can have booze and enjoy quality time with your friends, what is...
