My son and I tried to bring a game back that we purchased the day before that did not work. The CSR we got gave me a story of not having enough money to refund a $20 dollar game..but they had been open since 11 a.m. and we went in after 4 p.m...it didn't sit right with me so I called another Gamestop to see was this actually true! Come to find out they had never heard of this at all!! So basically he lied..he knew it didn't sit right with me so he watch us walk outside to my vehicle. While sitting in my vehicle I called another Gamestop..I was outside for about 8 to 10 minutes on the phone with another Gamestop he came out to my truck and knock on the glass and said he could refund the game now! At this point I just wanted the money and to go elsewhere. He kept trying to explain... I was of few words because he had lied! Then he has the nerves to say ma'am you don't have to have an attitude. (Confused I didn't say anything wrong, because I barely said anything at all) But he was the one that took the game out of my hand really fast. Also when handing my money back he made one of my coins fall intentionally how he gave it back to me! I don't have anything against Gamestop, all the others CSR that we have dealt with were awesome..this one was not! And to find out he is the Asst. mgr! They can do a lot better with one of the other...
Read moreI pre-ordered some Funko Pops from this location about 5 months ago. Since I moved, this location is now over an hour away from me. I've been able to call this location and ask if my pre-oders have came in yet and every single time, I've been told no. I noticed a few of the Funkos I had already paid for in other stores and decided to call again; this time not to inquire about my pre-oders but to ask if the product was available. To my surprise, I was told they did get some in but it's first come first serve that I needed to come get the item now if I'm going to get it at all. (That didn't seem fair since I already paid for the items and this store has never called upon arrival as promised.) I went and picked up the product. (Another side note is that the product said available on the ap as well.) So recently, I called to see if some of my other pre-orders came in (says the product is available on the ap.) and the gentleman on the phone said "we don't do pre-order checks over the phone! I told him that I live over an hour away and he told me it didn't matter that I need to show up to check my pre-oders. I told him that's not fair to waste my gas just so he doesn't waste a minute of his time. He then told me that he's the manager and that was his policy. He was blunt and not customer friendly. Read morePlease go to any other GameStop in the CSRA before going to this GameStop. Since I'm already local I've been a loyal customer for about as long as I've been down here for the past 8 years. This night in particular, because I knew they were about to close, at 8:52 p.m. I called in advance to tell them that I was about 5 minutes down the road and that I wanted to pick up the game. The guy said " sure cool, that won't be a problem." Upon arriving at the GameStop at 8:59, I see the doors are locked and the gate is down. So I called again to tell them hey I'm here I just wanted to pick up the game and go...well as you would no one picks up the phone. It's bad enough they already have the worst trade-in values for any game store on the face of this Earth. For me though, if you had just told me that you guys probably would be closed up two or three minutes before your actual closing time, I wouldn't even have made the trip out there, put if I verbally confirm with you before even getting there that I'm on the way and I get there still before your actual closing time I would expect you to have the decency to Stand by Your Word. Safe to say,I wont be going to this game stop...
