The Tie Dye Lab — Attraction in Avon

Today, we went and my son tie dyed a pillow case. The woman on staff helped us each and every step of the way to ensure we were getting the forms filled out correctly, placing the fork in a spot to determine where the design/spiral starts on the product, tell us how and where to place the colors(ones we selected) to get the effect our son wanted, and rinsed to remove any excess dye. She them have us a bag with a small container of special detergent, and instructions for the initial wash. Great help and instructions got us an amazing tie dyed pillowcase.

It was lots of fun creating our own tie dye shirts. First, the cost of creating the shirt no more expensive than buying a t-shirt at a local store. This experience is super fun, even for an adult outing without the kids! I went with a friend when we were bored one night and needed to get out of the house, and we really enjoyed it. The staff members helping us were patient and kind, explained everything very well, and we ended up with a product we really like! Very fun! It seems pricy but really it's the same as going out to dinner, and you get to keep something you'll wear often! We joked that "this is the most we've paid for something we had to make ourselves" but really the making it yourself part is the best part. Normally have a great experience but this time there were some issues. First the sizing, went to the sample sizes which is only tshirts, YL fit but wanted a little larger so got YXL sweatshirt. Got home took it out of the washer realizing it was super small for a XL. Plus when they rolled the water out, there was pink dye from another project that got on the shirt that did not washout like I was told. There is no pink in this shirt at all to hide this. Then the other tshirt colors were not what we asked for based on their sample board. I thought maybe when it was washed it would be closer but it is not at all. Very disappointed in our...
