I love Tj Maxx and this store in particular was one of my favorites until an occurrence yesterday. Normally with the perfume I’m always able to look at the variety and smell them before I purchase. But apparently now they are locked up because of recent theft in the store. I understand you have to take precautions into place but it should not detriment the value of your store. When I asked a gentleman by the name of James to open the glass case for me he was very rude and asked me which one without even letting me have a chance to smell anything. On top of that he even said “sorry we don’t have samples” which no Tj Maxx stores to my knowledge ever offers samples of products. So I made a selection of a $6.99 body spray that I didn’t even have an opportunity to smell but I figured it would be decent by the brand. Once I did he again in a very rude way said “we have to bring it to the register” and at that point the hassle made me no longer want to purchase the item. I proceeded to the register with the other items I had and of course spoke with the manager but I still feel this needed to publicly posted. In this day and age situations like this could easily be used against the store as a form of discrimination. Being someone who worked in retail for quite some time the motto has always been, the customer is always right. You do anything to make the customer happy and feel secure in making a purchase with your establishment. You don’t treat people like they are potential thieves when they enter your store just because you’re off of Newbury St. It’s unfortunate because I really love Tj Maxx but I don’t care for poor...
Read moreI have a complaint. I love TJ maxx so much, but I am tired of the rude service I constantly recurve. RUDE. CUSTOMER SERVICE TERRIBLE. I have had MULTIPLE rude employees. I am a loyal customer who just got the WORST service. I'm never shopping there again. This was the 3rd time I left furious. Let me just say, I am a LOYAL CUSTOMER, who shops here all the time. I went back with my receipt because an item I bought wasn't in the bag when I got home. After 10 minutes of waiting, they come back to me, called me a liar, said they looked up on the cameras and said it was put in the bag. WHY WOULD I LIE ABOUT SOMETHING LIKE THIS. how would one item fall out and none of the others. I went home, dug through my room, WENT THROUGH MY TRASH, and cannot find it. Not only were they rude but they were wrong. It's less about the item, and more about the service, and the fact that they didn't believe a very nice, loyal customer. I feel maybe because I'm a women, a young women, that they didn't believe me and thought I was scamming them. I think it's ridiculous and I'm mad because this isn't the first time I was talked rudely to. If this were a man, or even an older adult, I do not feel I would have been treated this way. The customer service at your store...
Read moreThis T.J. Maxx is huge, clean, well organized and very nice. It is not congested and have plenty of room between isles. They have many items for men, women, kids, pets and home. This store is four floors with elevators and escalators. The floor plan is laid out very well. They have clothes and items for every budget! I especially love the housing, pets and clothing departments.
If you know what you're looking for its easy to run in and out. I went there for a carryon suitcase. I found one that I liked in less than 5 minutes and was in and out in 8 minutes! I love this location because it's right off the Green Line at Hynes Convention Center T stop on the corner of Newbury Street and Mass Avenue. The # 1 Bus going to Harvard and Dudley stops right in front and it's walking distance from Kenmore Square and the Back Bay...
