It was pretty cute, not as Advertised in some ways, the food was ok, but for the money they were charging it could have been better and the way they were serving it on decrotive paper plates, it just kinda took away from the atmosphere. Maybe a prettier plastic Christmas plate or something like that. They stopped serving the Christmas cocktails at 7, which isn't advertised. You can only get regular bar drinks after 7 P. M. The drinks are served in just regular plastic barware, not Christmas themed Or garnish like they appear in some of the advertisements. They only had one server, she was completely overwhelmed by the time she got back to our table, they were done serving the specialty drinks, so we only got to taste one each. That was kind of bummer, also, food was separate,You had to get up from your table Hope that it wasn't stolen order your food from like a concession stand window. In the back in the game room And either wait for it or come back and pick it up a few. presentation like I said was very poor, my baked Bree came in a togo tin. There was nothing over the top to add to the flavor, like caramel or fruit. They just bring it in a to go tin on a paper plate With some cut up apples on the side, and I think it was fried pork bites, which really didn't go with it, we also did the chicken tenders They were okay, nothing fancy about chicken tenders. We had the baked pears They were okay a little hard , the natala donuts, we're a little bland also, and again, the way they were served just took away from the food they were trying to present. When I asked about the snow because I had seen on live 5 that it snowed every time Bing Crosby sings let it snow, then I had seen that it snowed every couple hours instead of every time the song played, didn't snow the whole time we were there and I was told they had changed it to 1 time at the end of the night ,that was also disappointing and not advertised that it had changed so drastically.. The main room was decorated beautifully. But for such a large space, it was almost like they ran out of decorations and were like, "Let's just throw a little bit here on there." L o l all in all it was pretty It was ok to experience but next year I'll definitely do a...
Read moreI have been coming to plays and musicals since Woolfe Theatre was called East Cooper Theatre Company. Since then, this amazing theatre company has moved from Mt. Pleasant to a former sausage wharehouse that had stood empty for fifty years. The board has raised about $850,000, but it is simply not enough money! Everyone who helped restore the former building did an such an " overwhelming " job. If you want to see a variety of plays and musicals done in a relaxed and casual atmosphere, then come to Woolfe Street Playhouse. I recently saw Othello, and it was wonderful! Everyone does such an amazing job. I simply love...
Read moreWent to see a comedy show at Woolfe Street Playhouse last night. Great venue. Very cool converted meat packing plant. two levels of seats - never made it up to the balcony level, but maybe next time. Not a bad seat in the house. Get there early if you want to sit at a table. Bar had reasonable drink prices. Staff was very welcoming and friendly. Parking lot across the street only five bucks. (parking is a big plus in Charleston) Will definitely go to...
