At one point (my tasting) I was very impressed with Kennison I recommended them to many people. I now see how wrong I was in doing so. At my reception I had the pasta bar. I had nearly every single guest complain about the pasta being cold and the meat being under cooked. The next day I had 10 different people message me explaining how they and their family was sick. One guest spoke of feeling like they may go to the hospital because they felt so sick. I had another guest have to extend their stay due to feeling to ill to travel. I myself paid for 155 plates and silverware I had 85 people maybe show which I honestly expected less people to show and I wanted the extra plates for any last minute people showing. I brought all this to her attention she in-turn basically told me I was lying and that she would drop off the plates I paid for. Why would I want 70 plates after the fact? I paid to have them that day not after. The food had no burners under it so there is no way any of it was at proper temperature. The only thing I even asked for on a refund was the amount for the plates her staff took. I did hope she would maybe make things right and offer a small return on behalf of the food not being cooked. By no means did I expect a full refund ($1900 worth of catering mind you is what I paid) I myself am a small business owner and I understand she had to pay staff and work. However I did not expect such a non sympathetic response or to be accused of lying about my guest being sick. This is not my only bad experience with them as I was in my friends wedding she had a baked potato bar and every single potato was so uncooked people were breaking forks in them. It was two weeks before my wedding and I thought to myself every business has a bad day and I continued with their services even after my experience and I regret it deeply now, especially with having guest and myself who got sick. It would have been one thing to have just me get sick but ten different people messaging me about the same thing is a bit much. Also the Mac and cheese at my tasting was not the Mac and cheese at...
Read moreThe food was delicious although slightly burnt but the whole experience was very poor. When we originally sat down to discuss how And when we wanted the food served, we were told that it would be feasible and done according to our timeline. We also discussed having our final count due exactly 4 weeks before the wedding because that was when we planned to have RSVPs due but if we needed to move up the timeline we could. The owner told us 4 weeks would be no problem. A week before the date we had agreed on for a final count, we emailed about setting up a time to meet to go over the menu one last time and deliver our final number. We never got a response about meeting but we were emailed an invoice with the remaining balance. When the date came around, we had already paid the amount due in full and called to give a final number and discuss the refund because we had 60 less plates than we anticipated. The owner told us that she had already put in our order two days prior to the agreed upon date for us to give her a final count and when asked about the refund she told us that she would have to ask her vendors. It just so happened the vendors did not get back to her so we ended up getting way more food than we needed and the refund could have covered the gratuity for all our vendors the day of the wedding. Our next problem arose during the reception when my parents were continuously being pestered by the buffet staff about them wanting to leave less than 30 minutes into dinner. Mind you, it is $250 for the set up and clean up of 3 hour service. The staff did not help with serving food and they did not help in cleaning up. We had provided our own serve ware for leftover food to be left out during the reception after the dinner hour. The staff instead left their dishes and serve ware and we had to return...
Read moreI ordered two dessert trays for $120.00 for my son and daughter in law’s wedding rehearsal dinner in October and of course, paid for them in advance. The dessert trays were not included in the food that was delivered. I have requested a refund months ago and guess I won’t be getting my requested refund as it appears she now is not accepting my messages. Ami, the owner, told me she sent a money order refund ....not sure why that would be her preferred method of refund after i requested a check or refund to my debit card. My advice...if you place a catering order, DO NOT pay the full balance in advance. If you do decide to use this business as your caterer, be sure you have someone designated to oversee the services provided. The servers packed leftover meat and rolls to take with them leaving great beans and some salad for us. They packed up before the agreed upon time and turned away late arriving guests. More than a few guests were turned down on extra servings of meat being told they needed to be sure there was enough for everyone. I must say, the meat was delicious which may be why the servers decided to take it home. VERY disappointed! It would’ve been nice if I could’ve been refunded for what I did not receive. Buyer beware.... do NOT pay the full balance until the agreed upon services...
