The facility experience is GREAT; even being an adult you can have a lot of fun here, which I really enjoyed. I would have given 5 stars for the experience, but the service received was not so great. When we were checking in at the kiosks, we overheard that 5 or under would get a $5 discount. When we start to check in, the staff member didn't even ask how old our kids are, just assuming they should be full price. When paying for the service with cash, it seemed like it was a real inconvenience as she had to grab a pen to verify whether it was counterfeit or not. Then I remembered to ask if the discount was applied, she looked at me as if she was saying "Are you serious? Anything ELSE you need?"
When we finished our fun experience at the facility, we decided to get dippin dots. We were simply asking for prices, she again acted like we were asking all stupid questions and she didn't really want to deal with us. We are all human beings and we all have some bad days. I completely understand if she was having a bad day that day. This is a customer service industry, and it would make more sense if you could at least fake some enthusiasm while interacting with customers. We would still come back with no doubt, but would appreciate if the service can be improved meanwhile.
UPDATES: we attended a birthday party this past weekend and the friend who booked the party room from 3-5pm and was told we couldn't be in the room until 4pm. We were told that the booking is usually like that (only allowed to be in the party room for 1 hour). It was NOT stated when she booked the room online nor did she get a call to confirm this would be the case. We would really appreciate if the event management could look into this issue and get it resolved soon as the answers we got from the front desk was rather...
Read moreTo tell you the truth… I’ve been avoiding this place for years! All I could think of was unsupervised kids, NOISE, bland food, GERMS, and injured kids.
However, except for the noise, all my preconceived notions were wrong.
The staff behave as lifeguards and enforce rules. The staff are mostly very young adults - which means they have pep and quick reflexes. They all seemed to be engaged - no one looking at phone or yawning. The manager (owner?) stopped for a chat when I gave him some feedback about an excellent employee. He told me that Saturday at 3 pm is about as busy as it gets, and that the party rooms keep a high turnover. He said there weren’t any injuries lately.
It didn’t seem dirty or germy. Probably as clean or cleaner floor as gymnastics places in town. I actually liked that everyone bought the socks there - guarantees they aren’t gross socks.
My 6 and 10 year old sons played for 4.5 hours and were disappointed when it was time to go. I mostly did not participate. I stood in an overlooking lounge area and read a book. Most adults were on their phones.
The pizza was 5x better than Chuck E’s. There were dippin dots and slushes and therefore lots of peppy kids.
I’m glad I said yes to the birthday party invite. Mostly because I was WRONG to avoid this place. The other reason was it was a free experience for my sons in an otherwise very expensive place, since our usual free play is at local...
Read moreI'd been here once before for a child's birthday party and was thoroughly pleased with it. On my more recent visit (with the same child) a couple of safety issues (IMO) really jumped out at me. First, we'd come from a semi-formal event and I'd taken the child (5 yrs old) to the restroom to change clothes. While we were in the back stall, her only half-dressed, everything went dark, freaking her out. Another person who'd been in before we entered and apparently didn't hear us, had turned off the lights when she left. I don't see why there's a wall switch for any public place, especially one with so many children using it. I had to comfort her, and look at the light under the door to go turn the lights back on myself. Later, the kids (the 5-yr-old and a 3-yr-old brother) were in an area where part of it was open for use and another part was closed, but the "closed" part was roped off only from an end of the attraction and still totally accessible from the side. The 3 yr old was frightened when an employee yelled (not in a rude tone, but had to raise voice just to be heard in that environment) at him. IMO, anywhere that feature is accessible should be made IN-accessible, not...
