I went in to purchase an office chair today, picked out an acceptable one for me and they told me they won't sell it to me, that it was out of stock. They wouldn't sell me the floor sample, policy! I asked Marsha the manager for help finding a similar chair that was in stock. She huffed and puffed beeping with her device, she was looking. I finally found something that was acceptable in their "ready to roll section" it was a little more, but hey, at least it was in stock. She then told me it was going to be $20 more because they had already put it together. I told her I thought that was crappy, it sure wasn't marked that way and why was "that" chair available for sale but the one I really wanted wasn't? Then I have to pay a $20 upcharge? I commented about how retail and the actual desire to care for customers had gone away to corporate policies and red tape. Ā Ā Ā Read moreI will NEVER have printing done here again. I placed an order at 12pm for one sheet of 11x17. Because of the paper size I figured the self serve wasnāt an option. At 1pm I walk in and over to the print counter. There was a copy of my project balled up as if someone had been trying to print it and maybe there was an error. I stood there for 15 mins as the employee kept trying to print it. I finally told her to stop trying and brought my concern to , Marsha, a manager. I was first told my order was not up yet which is weird since a copy of it was balled up on the table then I was told it was a copier issue. Marsha never came over to help her employee. What a lack of leadership! I have requested a response. If I do get one I will update my review accordingly.

After trying a few out, I found the one I liked and went up front to ask about the sale price. The employee, a robust tall white woman, was incredibly rude. Like one of those moments you are literally shocked someone is that comfortable being that rude. She acted like I was an idiot, berated another employee while I standing there, and had a major attitude. The store wasn't that busy and it was a simple question. I'm sure whoever responds to this from Office Max will have some excuse for the employee but stay away from here if you can help it. I found my chair online for 150$ cheaper and didn't have to deal with anyone's bad attitude. Never...
