Although the place is great to take your kid for an outing, it's HORRIBLE for birthday parties!!! The kids may have enjoyed it (hard not to with all there is to do there), the party itself and the hosts left a LOT to be desired.
The party hosts were supposed to take care of running the party from beginning to end, however they were missing most of the time and didn't have the events running smoothly. They didn't really tell us the order of events (except for the assigned time for laser tag), the rushed us around, made my son have his cake before everyone was done with their pizza, rushed us out of the room to a TINY 4 person table (for an event with at least 8 kids and 14 adults!) WITH all of the presents, cake, balloons on top of the table.
Before we were even completely cleared out of the space, the next party arrived to start their party. It was like an assembly line, but not a smoothly running one, more like the candy episode of I Love Lucy when Lucy and Ethel can't keep up with the machine spitting out all of the candy. IT WAS AWFUL! I would NEVER recommend this place for a party!!
When I was paying for the party, they told me the food was separate, but I was to tip on the "party" bill and they told me the total of both, NOT telling me that gratuity was ALREADY INCLUDED on the food bill.
It was an AWFUL experience for me, the mom of the birthday boy, as I had to sit around watching our stuff while the kids went off to play, and I missed the party. I barely could take any pictures b/c I had to be the party host, even though the employees were supposed to take care of it all for us. There were two that introduced themselves, but they were missing most of the time, then there were two other random people that showed up at one point or another. It was AWFUL!!!
We were supposed to have cups for the kids, but they said they ran out... when my husband told them to find something different to give the kids, they miraculously found the cups and gave us some - soaking wet with no tops or lids.
ALSO, we had to tell the party host to take the kids to mini golf, as she was more interested in cleaning the room for the next party than hosting the party currently going on... So, she took the kids over to the mini golf area, said "here it is" and left them. She never instructed them on what to do, and immediately 3 kids "lost" their ball by putting it in the last hole and they wouldn't give them a new ball. Seriously,...
Read moreIt was my first visit,a bit of a drive to get there .I came for the minigolf because there is no other one in Tampa anymore and it was indoors so thats a plus .The guy at the sales counter not too helpful as far as suggesting the best options for a new comer.I started out ok in the minigolf(cute little course you have there)however, you have people standing in the middle of it trying to take pictures of there kids on the sky trail and dont want to move for people who are actually playing golf. The game was going ok until a bunch of kids got behind us and were rushing us along wouldnt even give my mom enough room to finish her game play.So then we went to the toddler area and I would suggest you get someone to supervise that area better because people are not paying to go in there. And now i will explain why i say that. i read the signs and went up front to purchase a band for my daughter to play and apparently the people who were already in there didnt have any bands at all.People are just going in there for free.they just push the open gate button from the inside and go in.They obviously have been here before and know how it works. So my daughter did have agreat time by the way . And then this other lady came with her child and we let her know you you go up front and pay to get a band to get in she did but complained about it.Some time goes by and this other lady comes up.then we told her about the band and she went to get one and then she comes in with her kid and gets in the playhouse with the kids which she is not supposed to be doing at that point i got my daughter out and told her it was time to go.then as we were getting ready to go she let a bunch of other people in there for free.We wanted to bowl but some lanes were not working and the rest were full.I felt the price for the video games were well over what i was willing to pay to play them so i didnt bother. The bathrooms were clean as was everywhere else in your establishment so i have no complaint about that but i was kinda hot in there. my experience there was good but not great just wanted to give you a haeds up on a few things that could use...
Read moreEdit for 2023: Alright, here we are 3 years later with an update. Decided to check this location out again as they'd moved and reviews seemed positive again. I have to admit that it was a much better experience overall. We did have a few issues with card readers, but patience paid off, and eventually they worked. Jackpots seemed to be better and the cleanliness was definitely better. We spent 100 on a card and got good play out of it. Pricing on the games seemed improved as well. No complaints about that any longer. Prize selection is more on the cheaper end, with a few higher tier prizes, but the pricing seemed to be fair. I'd give them a 3.5 but since I can't, I'll do a 4 because I really was impressed from the improvement.
Absolutely blown away with how horrible this place was based on reviews I've seen. Now I only experienced the arcade portion, but it was terrible. While all games were working, many had stuck buttons and were dirty. Games were also extremely pricey based on other arcades. Payouts on some of the games were also mislabeled. An example of this is Kung Fu Panda. It advertised above it a 500 ticket jackpot, which is what I'm used to seeing at other arcades. Upon winning, the game said payout was only 150. Might want to fix this. My final complaint is about the redemption area. Ticket prices in regards to the prizes were not up to par. Something that would cost 200 or 300 at another arcade was 750 or 900 here. I'm sad to see a place I had such high hopes for let me down like this. Guess we'll be sticking to our other arcade stops.
Editing to add: Changing from 2 to a 1 star after seeing how tacky the owner reaponded. Not surprised that the business owner replied as they did. Based on their responses to other reviews, the arcade does no wrong and it's simply the people complainings fault. This is NOT how a business should be run. I am not a believer in that the customer is always right, but at the same time, the business is not always right either and if you have this many people saying the same issues arise, it's time to stop trying to...
