I had to come back and edit my review after my visit with my grand daughter here today.They have upgraded the playground equipment and provided more of it. It is still not a huge park, but much better! I took updated photos. NICE! Thanks Elizabethton for upgrading this for the children! I gave it 4 stars because it does have a tiny parking area, and only one Large covered pavilion area for eating. If one large group has them, there aren't any others for anyone else to use. There are other random scattered picnic tables around that are not joined or shaded. Good walking trails. Nice view of river. Usually has geese around, sometimes they are aggressive. The Elizabethton Linear Trail goes through it along the Watauga River. The parking lot is small.
