If I could give negative stars I would. Had the worst experience at this location. The sales manager Andres Sanso is unprofessional, sneaky, inconvenient and a liar. He withheld information about plans, pushing on me the plan that was most convenient for HIS commission. Then when questioned, he was rude and sneaky. When I decided to cancel within the recession period, he deliberately shuts down the screen so I can't see what he is doing. He owned me a refund of $294 ($359 - $65 = $294) and only processed $166 (told to me by the trainer later on, as when I called corporate they withheld this information). During enrollment, two classes were given "free" by the VP of that location. Which were never really free as I paid initiation fee during a promotional period advertised all over the gym, *free initiation fee until 01/15. FOUR monthly personal training classes are $260. On the app, before cancelation also stated that I had 3 paid classes available for the month, that sums up to $65 used and I expect my full amount of $294 to be refunded. Sneaky Andres has no work ethics and should know better than to mess with people's money. Later, after speaking to corporate they claimed there are $49 and $50 fees. Fine. And still their refund is inaccurate, $164. As I was with corporate on the phone, the agent named Hatti couldn't find the details of my contract. Which I thought was extremely odd. The contract was based on $65/class, and now there is no info on that. Perhaps altered by Andres when he shut the screen off during cancelation?!? Andres S has also harassed me because of my name change, WHICH IS NONE OF HIS BUSINESS! AND HAS ALSO SPOKEN BAD OF MY CHARACTER TO MY TRAINER! In a phone call the trainer questioned my name after being shown my personal profile and told I was a liar, which the name change was used as an argument to defame me. A nice defamation lawsuit will be in the works if this is not resolved accurately and promptly. Canceling all ties to any LA Fitness, expecting my refund for training services not rendered and refund for the monthly membership to be canceled immediately. Hiring unexperienced, unprofessional young boys to do big jobs is giving you a bad name LaFitness.
AFTER TRYING TO RESOLVE THIS MATTER THROUGH CORPORATE, I HAVE BEEN PUSHED ASIDE AND THE SAID TRAINER QUESTIONED. WITH THAT BEING SAID, I BELIEVE IT IS SAFE TO SAY THAT I MIGHT NEVER SEE MY FULL REFUND AND THE TRAINER MIGHT GET FIRED. ALL THE TRAINER DID WAS TRY TO BE SUPPORTIVE AND TEND TO MY NEEDS. THE SAID MANAGER FELT OFFENDED AND HAD TO GET PERSONAL. I HONESTLY HOPE THAT THEY REALIZE THAT PEOPLE HAVE FEELINGS, NEEDS AND WANTS. WE ARE NOT MONEY MACHINES. IF ANYTHING, FIRE THE DISRESPECTFUL LYING MANAGER. AND I SUGGEST THE TRAINER GET A LAWYER BEFORE THEY DO HIM WRONG FOR BEING HONEST.
I Still hope to get my full refund. Regardless of fees, this has been such a disappointment that I don't want to leave one single cent of mine on their hands. Redeem yourselves from the embarrassment and just refund me the full amount for BOTH memberships canceled.
With that being said, I requested cancelation of my monthly membership through corporate with Hatti and never got a cancelation email. Let's see if they at least followed that...

Now,with the Omicron 4.5 and 5.0 variants on the rise, some of us that have co-morbidities and immunological problems must be more vigilant and schedule our workouts when the crowd size is at its lowest. Unfortunately there are very few people masking right now in the gyms or basketball courts. If you're working the machines the area with the high ceilings is going to be the safest. The West area with the low ceiling and all the free weights is going to be the most dangerous. The staff here do a very good job cleaning the equipment but there are a lot of people who use the machines and don't clean it all. I advise anyone who needs to use the gym and doesn't want to contract covid or monkeypox to pick your times accordingly and make sure you wear your mask and clean the equipment before and after. AND BRING YOUR OWN DISIFECTANT BOTTLE! Update: Wed. Aug 10,2022 8:30pm I am somewhat upset that management has taken away the spray cleaning bottles for equipment that we've been using the last couple years through covid. Now Broward County leads Florida in monkeypox and has more cases in this County than 41 States. And then there are gaping cracks in nearly a dozen seats that could hide mites from human hair and sweat that could be eliminated with disinfectant. So if you are aged or immunocompromised I implore you to bring your own disinfectant. Better safe than sorry. Read moreI wish someone would read the comments and make some changes for the sake of the gym. This location has been neglected. Will probably loose members because of the poor equipment and smell. This club is in need of a face lift. The carpet smells bad and as soon as you walk in the musty mold smell hits you. The spin bikes are the worst in town. I frequent other close La Fitness clubs and this location has spin bikes that are not working and/or accurate and don't even have foot clips that work. However there are no signs indicating which bikes work so you have to figure that out on your own. Locker room doesn't seem real clean. Hair balls on the floor for days. Very neglected. Back in September the spin class met three mornings a week @ 5:45 AM then they got rid of one of the teachers and for several weeks afterwards we would show up for class and the teacher would not show up. No notice on the schedule or the door. If I am getting up to attend a 5:45 AM class someone should tell me if the class is cancelled. Several of us called to complain and ask if they would try to replace or get another spin instructor. It went on for severals weeks. I still am hoping for the best. I work early and only joined this gym to attend the 5:45 AM class close to work. On the Happy Side. I enjoy the classes. and the variety and class times. The receptionist always has a smile and is nice enough. Just wish that the equipment was updated like other fitness centers. Only been a member for a few months.
