We had a blast both times we have been. I will say this past time we visited (May 31st) we were disappointed with a couple of things. One was something that they did last time but not this time. The lazy river is where we spent the majority of our time with trips because that's what our daughter wanted to do. Last time the lifeguards were doing their best to keep empty floats out of the lazy river so everyone would have plenty of room and we didn't momd pushing empty floats out as we came back through the main entrance. This time when we went not a single person working there was making any attempt to keep empty floats out, so not only did many people, including us, have to wait till someone pushed some out some empty floats or just get in and wait till we could get to one, but also the lazy river was so crowded with empty floats that you could barely move in most areas and it was much less enjoyable. We were pushing out between 5-8 floats at a time when we came around EVERY TIME! I understand that kids will get in with them and then get out of them to play, but at one point there were 2 lifeguards manning the main entrance and saw us all pushing floats out in droves but rather than taking time out of their obviously very important tanning/conversation to stack them to the side (as they did last time), but instead watched as several adults were pushing them out to make room and just kept allowing them all to just float back in and continued in their tanning/conversations. Also, my husband wore a black t shirt that had only been worn and washed maybe twice that we purchased from DXL (so not cheap) and when we got home our suits and towels smelled so strong of chlorine I decided to wash them immediately and when I pulled his shirt out of our bag it was bleached out! Not a slight discoloration but ruined. You can see the line where his shoulders were out of the water more than the rest of his body because it isn't bleached as bad there but the rest is lightened so much and has an orange tint to it. We saw someone testing the water 3 different times throughout our visit but I don't think it should've been that extreme after mixing with the water, but it was. Not surprised now hearing kids say their eyes...

Expensive. Crowded. Not enough seats. Not enough shade. Many of the life guards seemed distracted and bored. That's the negative out of the way. Several great water slides. A splash and play area. The lazy river is just deep enough for floats. You can paddle, walk or just float. There are stairs to access the river or shallow beach style section to access the water. It is accessible by train from Lake Winnie. (Take the train!) There is a surf shop, rental lockers, men's and women's showers and restrooms, as well as a snack bar. Optional--Cabana rental is also pricey, but comes with perks such as a ceiling fan, and chairs and other goodies. Otherwise there are deck chairs and loungers. There is a designated area with tables and chairs for eating. This water park is inside another, older amusement park. Lake Winnie is a local institution locally owned since....I don't even know. The 1930s? It is even featured on a PBS documentary movie. There are plenty of rides for children of any age. There are the classic train ride around the amusement park, old fashioned cars, carousel, ferris wheel and swings. There are bumper cars and an arcade.Paddle boats cruise the lake with carp lurking around for popcorn. But the show piece is the old wooden roller coaster, the Canon Ball. I say the place is pricey: $179.00 for 4 people. But! Thats an amusement park and water park, so value wise, it's pretty good. There is also one feature missing from other amusement parks that this has: you can bring in your own food. Plenty of covered picnic tables allow families the option of lugging in coolers of child-friendly beverages and lunch. This feature keeps the adventure manageable on a...

Dilapidated and rusty towers to slides. 4 slides, one was out of commission. Overall way overpriced for what is offered. A small locker rental is $8. A souvenir drink cup is $10 to get $1 refills. We liked the lazy river enough but that was a highlight. The entire park entry fee is all that is afforded ($37.99) rather than paying just for the Amusent park or just for the Water Park. It should be offered one rate (half price) for Soak park or half price for the amusement park. Not pay for both everytime. On Aug 4, 2022 we had to pay for the whole park price while 40% of all the rides are shut down late season, so you're only getting a small portion of what is available at the full rate. I grew up with this park in its hay day, but 50 years later returning and seeing all the same rides in all the same places, corroded, grease and grime covered, I can only describe this park as an aging and suffering pet that should be put down and replaced with a new pet. My wife and I were served cheeseburgers ($10.50 with fries and a small coke) and when I lifted the bread up to put on some mayo the lettuce was water logged and wilted it couldn't be eaten. I took it back and asked if anyone serving at the window would feel comfortable eating it they all said heck no. So, for the price I would recommend going a couple hours anywhere else to have fun (Dolly world, Six Flags over Georgia) if you want to leave feeling like you didn't waste a lot of money while being served a...

Located inside of Lake Winnie and SO much fun! The lazy river is fun for all and filled with water features and mini rapids throughout. The park has water slides spread out and designated areas for babies and toddlers. There are tables with umbrellas and lounge chairs in bith shaded and sunny area. Cabana's are available for rent and come with table service. Food is available for purchase. No outside food or drinks located inside of Soakya, but outside food IS allowed inside of Lake Winnie! 10/10 recommended SOAKYA Waterpark!

The lazy river was dirty and cloudy with the waves, but it was not working. People took over the umbrella tables with their towels, clothes, and shoes, where you had nowhere to eat. Some stairs going 100 feet in the air to the water slides were messed up. Some water slides are not working. No soap in the restroom. They wanted you to put a shirt on going back into the regular park but girls were allowed to wear thong bikinis and boobs showing
