I I am extremely disappointed and deeply hurt by the discriminatory treatment I experienced at Office Depot on 6/11/25. I was denied the ability to print graduation tickets ā a service that multiple other customers had successfully used at this very location. The employee working that day, Alyssa, initially processed my order but contacted me within an hour to inform me that she could no longer fulfill it. My primary frustration with Alyssa comes from both her attitude during the ordering process and the prolonged delays she caused, which ultimately made me late for work. Additionally, she further wasted my time by failing to share any potential issue with printing during the 20+ minutes I spent waiting in line and the 10+ minutes spent placing the order. Alyssa later claimed she had ājust received noticeā that ticket printing was no longer allowed, despite the fact that others had successfully printed tickets at the same location the previous day. While I was placing my order, I litterally saw stacks of printed graduation tickets sitting on the counter and even asked Alyssa about them. A customer in line with me even confirmed they had successfully printed their tickets without any issue at this very location. Alyssaās sudden refusal to complete my order was both discriminatory and intentional, she chose to make this ānoticeā an issue only when it came to my order, even though she had previously processed other ticket printing orders without any issue. If I had been informed of this supposed policy change when I first arrived, my time would not have been wasted. This policy was only enforced when I myself, a minority customer attempted to place an order.
The store manager, Carl Schell, unnecessarily escalated the situation by contacting the school of the graduate in attempt to intimidate us over the ticket printing, despite the store previously authorizing and admitting (as confirmed by Alyssa) to printing tickets for numerous other schools. Alyssa also acknowledged that this had been done several times before without any issues, aside from minor differences in how the tickets were printed. Yet, I was singled out, treated differently, and ultimately disrespected.
Carl Schellās tone and behaviour was completely unprofessional and unacceptable ā he even hung up on me during our phone conversation. His conduct, especially as someone in a position of authority, was not only rude but discriminatory.
I strongly discourage anyone from using this Office Depot location and suggest going to other nearby locations for printing services to ensure better treatment and...
