It’s truly sad to see this ship in such disrepair. I mean, what happened?! Bishop Museum handed over this ship to a non-profit and it seems it’s just rotting away here in Honolulu. I’ve read that there is a campaign to get the ship back to Glasgow and I for one will be sad to see this ship go, but let’s hope it will then be restored and managed by folks who care to tell the storied history of this ship.

Sad to see the iron hulled ship FALLS OF CLYDE, built in 1878, in such a sad state. She needs to be rescued and preserved in the same way the iron hulled barque ELISSA (built in Scotland in 1877), now in Galveston, was saved.

Description
Falls of Clyde is the last surviving iron-hulled, four-masted full-rigged ship, and the only remaining sail-driven oil tanker. Designated a U.S. National Historic Landmark in 1989, she is now a museum ship in Honolulu, but her condition has deteriorated. She is currently not open to the public.
