Atmosphere: The boat (Thundercloud) we were on, was the newest one of the fleet and it showed. It looked properly maintained and the crew did their best to help maintain that on our tour. Customer Service/Knowledge: The crew (Kip and Jimmy) and the Captain Dustin were very knowledgeable of the sea wildlife that was present on our tour. There was also one instance where Kip got intrigued by something that was going on in the water and made it to aware to us that it was something that rarely happens (bubble net feeding). To have that passion for the sea wildlife and make that aware to us, but what it meant for him, it truly shows the passion he has for this. Product: We were able to see quite a bit of humpback whales and got up close with some sea lions as well. The one thing I appreciated was when a whale was spotted the Captain and crew communicated with one another to make it a sight for the tour to behold. To help explain what was going on, as well as what to expect when we saw the whales, was really informative and helped prep us for great photo opportunities. Fun Fact: Shaun White makes a guest appearance 🤫🤭 Ian helped navigate us to the tour and it was very insightful. More photos to be uploaded

Juneau Tours’ Whale Watching and Mendenhall Glacier Tour was AMAZING!! We had Troy as our bus driver and Ford & Russell as our whale watching guides. They all were extremely knowledgeable about Juneau as well as the wild life found within the area. All of our guides had so much great information to share as they kept us entertained throughout the day! We were able to see quite a few whales including a mother and calf! The tour also took us to the Mendenhall Glacier Park where Troy recommended we take the trail to Nugget Falls. While it rained towards the end of the excursion, the boat we were in was covered so we didn’t need to wear as many heavy layers as we did. Overall, this hometown tour company was an excellent experience and was very accommodating to our large group in making sure we were able to stay together. The directions given on the tour tickets were clear and easy to follow and on our way back, our driver made an additional stop downtown if people wanted to get off closer to the cruise ship or near different restaurants and stores. Thank you so much to our amazing tour guides for an unforgettable trip to Juneau!!!

Absolutely fantastic whale watching experience today. Our guide, Ford, was incredibly knowledgeable, in addition to being very entertaining, which made for a truly enjoyable afternoon. We saw at least 8 whales, including the amazing Flame and her calf Sizzle! The boat Captain John, was also very knowledgeable, with a great sense of humour & navigational skills, that ensured the best & closest proximity to the whales. It was so obvious that both these guys were very passionate about the work they do and really enjoy their time on the water. Both our drivers, Peter & Zach, also left a lasting impression. They kept us entertained and educated through the drive to the port and back. This company has such friendly and lovely employees that I would definitely recommend using them. They're also a local and family run company, as opposed to the larger companies that the cruise ships partner with. You can book online or on the Dock as soon as you leave the cruise ship, and also save on the price by booking it directly.

We had a fantastic experience with Juneau Tours. We took the shuttle tour to Mendenhall Glacier, and our guide, Frank, recommended the hike to Nugget Falls. He was absolutely right—it was an easy hike, about a mile in and a mile back, with no incline. The falls were magnificent and mesmerizing. Although the glaciers have receded significantly, seeing them from a distance gave us a profound sense of the area's history and natural beauty. Special thanks to Cali, who was in constant communication with us from booking to the day of the tour. Initially, the weather forecast looked unfavorable for the day we were going to be in Juneau, so I canceled the tour. However, Cali assured us that we could rebook if we changed our minds. When we arrived in Juneau, the weather was much better than anticipated, and Cali promptly helped us rebook the tour. Her quick responses and cooperation made all the difference. We highly recommend this tour for anyone looking to explore the stunning landscapes of Alaska!

I had the pleasure of experiencing a tour with Andrew as our trolley driver and I can’t recommend him enough! Andrew was not only incredibly knowledgeable about the area, but his enthusiasm and passion for the natural beauty of Juneau truly made the tour unforgettable. One of the highlights of our tour was visiting Mendenhall Glacier. Andrew provided fascinating insights about the glacier's history and the surrounding landscape, making our visit even more meaningful. His tips on the best spots for photos and what to look out for during our stop were spot on! The entire experience was smooth and well-organized, allowing us to fully immerse ourselves in the breathtaking scenery. Andrew’s friendly demeanor and willingness to answer questions made the entire experience feel personalized and engaging. If you’re considering a tour in Juneau, be sure to request Andrew as your driver—you won’t be disappointed!

We scheduled the combo tour: whale watching + mendenhall glacier. For our whale watching 2+hr tour, the crew of Dustin, Shay, & Carrie were very energetic, informative, & clearly loved serving others; absolutely knowledgeable of the whales & area. Boat ride very enjoyable, comfortable, & safe. For Mendenhall Glacier, Andrew was very knowledgeable as well on to & from. His recommendation of walking to Nugget Falls first then take glacier photos was very much appreciated & help manage our time. We graciously tipped both groups to show our appreciation of their efforts. Although the boat crew obviously doesn’t control whale activity, we’re giving 4 stars only because whale sighting / activity was sporadic compared to our Icy Strait whale experience where we experienced a herd of bubble netting / feeding whales for that entire 2hr tour.
