✨ Grand Spa LA – My Late Night Korean Spa Adventure! ✨
OMG, I just left Grand Spa LA, and I have to say—what a cozy little gem! It’s super small and quaint, but it has all the essentials you need for a relaxing Korean spa experience. Plus, it’s open 24 hours, which is perfect if you’re looking for a little self-care after a long flight (like I was!).
I went late at night—which was a first for me at a Korean spa—but let me tell you, it was so peaceful and quiet. Like, if you want a true ✨ zen ✨ moment, nighttime is the move, girl! I got a 90-minute scrub + massage for $140, which is super reasonable compared to other spots in LA.
The Vibes: • The sauna was HOT (just how I like it), and they even had a TV outside on the women’s side, which made it extra cozy! • The cold plunge was FREEZING, and the hot tubs were perfection—literally the ideal balance. • The spa itself is very no-frills—just the basics, which I actually love because it keeps things simple and authentic.
The Downside? 🥺 • The steam room was out of order (which is a big deal for me—Korean spas NEED a steam room!). • The products (shampoo, face wash, etc.) smelled kinda weird to me? Not a dealbreaker, but definitely bring your own if you’re picky! • I got COLD during my scrub (which has NEVER happened to me at a Korean spa before!). The towels they put on me were cold, and I was just lying there like…why?? 🥶
The Scrub & Massage: My scrub was done by Jenny, who was older and super sweet, but since it was late at night, I could tell she was tired. Totally understandable, but it felt a little rushed. The scrub itself was decent, The massage was very gentle, and relaxing
Other Things to Know: • Parking was FREE & easy to find (a rare win in LA!). • The front desk lady was… meh. I didn’t take it personally, but I can see why some reviews mention her being unfriendly. If it’s your first time and you’re clueless, she’s not the most welcoming lol. • Most of the staff doesn’t speak much English, which I actually love because it makes it feel super authentic!
Final Thoughts: Would I come back? YES, but mostly for the late-night peace & quiet and the hot tubs/sauna. If you’re expecting an ultra-luxurious experience, this isn’t that kind of spa—it’s very straightforward and affordable. I’m giving it 4 out of 5 stars because: ✨ The steam room is broken (a big deal for me!) ✨ The scrub/massage was okay but not amazing ✨ The cold towels during the scrub were NOT it
That being said, if you’re looking for a budget-friendly 24-hour Korean spa and want to completely unwind, this is a great option! Next time, I might even just spend the night there instead of getting a...
Read moreMy friend and I decided to come here to have a nice spa day on a beautiful Monday. First and foremost, I love how they have their own free parking lot. That let alone is a gold mine in Los Angeles. I've only been to two other Korean spas before this which are: Wi Spa and Hugh Spa. Wi Spa is a bit bigger with more rooms and co-ed areas, whereas Hugh and Grand are separated. Grand Spa is a perfect spot to have a solo spa day or a girl's spa day. Unfortunately, there's only one esthetician at this time. So if you're trying to have a girl's day at the same appointment time, you would have to book two separate types of treatment like a facial and a massage. My friend and I were both in need of a facial, so we had to book one right after the other. However, there are some cool amenities to use while you wait like hot tub, sauna, steam room, tv rest room, and napping areas. I used the shower and noticed that the products were sulfate-free, which was nice to feel. I used one of the rooms in the napping area to do some work by myself. It was peaceful and quiet. I did not know what type of facial to choose, so I had the esthetician choose for me. Her name is Linda. She chose a hydrating care facial for me. I noticed that the products used were by the Le Mieux brand. My face had gotten dry coming back from a trip to Bali. I started off by laying down, and she placed my legs in individual leg massagers. I thought this was pretty cool because I'd never gotten a facial with that additional service. The facial started off with a lympathic massage on my shoulders, neck, back, and face. I felt like I was getting a face lift, but gua-sua style. During the facial, she had used hot towels, cold rollers, and even cold towels. She did some microdermasion techniques, high frequency therapy, and a few extractions for me. The cold rollers felt so good on my extractions - definitely soothed the pain. Towards the end, she applied a cold hydrating mask over some cotton facial gauze. While the mask was setting, she massaged my hands and arms on both sides. It was so relaxing! She ended my facial with vitamin C serum, hyalouronic acid, collagen, moisturizer, and sunscreen. I've never had a 90 minute facial done before, let alone a Korean facial, so this facial was a whole treat from start to finish. I truly loved my whole experience from start to finish. Honestly, I would definitely love to go back for a body scrub and full...

My girlfriend and I went to Grand Spa for a massage last night. She was wearing a bracelet worth around 10k, but we discovered that it was missing from the car after we left. We searched the car thoroughly, but the bracelet was not there. We immediately went back to Grand Spa and informed the front desk. They searched the massage room but found nothing. We then called the police to access the security footage and see if my girlfriend was still wearing the bracelet when we left.
My girlfriend told me that during the massage, the masseuse Cindy was paying an unusual amount of attention to the arm where the bracelet was located. I confronted Cindy and asked her to return the bracelet before the police arrived. She didn't even respond and walked away. It was clear to me that she had taken the bracelet. Later, Cindy denied taking it and even became aggressive, demanding to search my car.
So I went back to the car with Cindy following me. I searched the car in front of her, but found nothing. Then, she grabbed a tissue box that was full of tissue and found the bracelet at the bottom of it, showing it to me as if she had found it honestly. However, my girlfriend had never even touched that tissue box after our massage.
Furthermore, the lady at the front desk was rude and spoke loudly in Korean to Cindy, which we couldn't understand. After we found our bracelet, the lady at the front desk, as a staff member, should have been happy for us instead of talking to the thief in a language we couldn't understand.
To the manager of Grand Spa, I strongly recommend that you fire Cindy and the lady at the front desk immediately.
I urge anyone who reads this to NOT go to this place and to share this story with...
