Don’t ever waste your time coming to this location. The store manger zanekqua is extremely rude and does not follow simple corporate procedures when it comes to releases. The store received 5 super premium collections but upon arriving to the store the release sheet states only 2 are available and the limit is 2 per person per sku… okay fine. I waited from 9pm 5/15 to open on release day 5/16 just for a friend of hers to join the line close to open and beg her to do one per person which she agreed to instantly. That is not how the release process works… I even notified her she didn’t alter the release sheet on the glass to reflect 1 per person or else I wouldn’t have waited all night. I asked if she was going to change up the limits allowed even though I waited all night and her friend just arrived? She responded “I dont care & how long you waited has nothing to do with me”. The entire point of Game stop discontinuing pre orders for items was to increase foot traffic within the store, zanekqua is doing the exact opposite.. no one will ever want to come to this store and I’m sure that’s why they receive so few “hot” items as it is. Her friend even stated he sells on whatnot with a “partner” so i’m sure that’s exactly why she eagerly took his side with splitting the items he didn’t wait for. It now makes sense why there’s already numerous bad reviews about the location. I’m sure it will shut down soon but until then please don’t waste time visiting this store, go to the...
Read moreI stopped in after work to grab a game I had pre-ordered. There was one employee working the desk who was helping a woman and her son. Aside from them taking ~20 minutes, I got my game and went home to find my Xbox 360 wasnt working. I called them to ask how much they would give for a defunct Xbox and they said they were slammed and I needed to refer to their website.
First of all, maybe you wouldnt be slammed if you had more than one employee working. Second, this information is NOT available online. Third, this was my FOURTH broken Xbox that I bought from GameStop. So I packed up all my stuff and brought it into this location, simply because its the closest one available. I waited in line again until a second employee came out of the back room. This guy was pretty nice, but I was soon handed off to Chaz, who was not friendly or willing to help much.
I get that youre busy, guy, but I consistently have a worse experience at this GameStop than any other location. Hire some more people? Take breaks before/after your peak hours of 5-7? At every other GameStop, people seem genuinely excited to talk about games that come out and to point you in the right direction. Convenience will be the only reason I ever go back to this location, but I think its worth it to go a bit further to the...
Read moreReally, the only reason I shopped here was because I had a good amount of trade in credit. I used it to pre-order a game.
The game was released, and I went in to pick it up. They didn't have it, said it never came in. I was told they would call when it came in. Ok, stuff happens, right?
A week passed, no call, was passing by so stopped in again. Still no game. I had to check back twice more before I could get the game I pre-ordered. By that time, it was over a month since the game was released, and other stores had it, but still I had to wait. I pre-ordered a game, paid in advance, and had to wait longer to get the game.
What's worse, they never called to tell me it was in, despite it arriving late and me coming in multiple times to pick it up. Then, the last time when I finally was able to pick it up, the only copy they had was the opened box copy they used for a display box. If you knew someone had the game reserved, why would you open it?
Well, they've certainly taught me that buying physical copies of games just leads to more inconvenience. They've made the best argument for digital purchases I've ever seen. And if I have anything else to trade in, I'm taking it to vstock. I'm not...
