Once I found out that there was a local metaphysical shop near me, I was stoked. After a few weeks of finding out, I checked the website to make sure they were open. they were, so my grandma and I went. As soon as we got there, I knocked on the back door since it was closed and locked. The owner came out and said someone else was in there so we would have to wait. I was fine with waiting, so after about 30 minutes passes by, the woman inside leaves. I was about to walk in and I was immediately stopped by the owner because I was not 18. After waiting so long to go and finally finding a ride and waiting 30 minutes to go inside, I was a quite upset. Eventually I was able to go in after I washed my hands a couple times and promised not to touch anything and remained 6 ft. The store had sort of an odd, almost negative feeling to it and I felt a bit un-easy while walking around. My grandma didn’t want to be in there either due to the unwelcoming greeting we got, so I bought a tarot deck, some incense, and left. The owner did throw in a couple complementary incense sticks which I greatly appreciated, but that didn’t make up for the fact that she was genuinely rude to us. The second time I went she treated us the exact same. She wasn’t going to let me in the store despite the fact that I was able to go in last time and there was no issues or disruptions by any means. I am 16 and I believe I’m mature and old enough to understand not to touch anything or do something that violates covid restrictions. I understand that young kids may not follow the rules and can cause an issue, but the way she went about it was very unwelcoming and by reading the reviews, I can tell some mothers feel that way as well. It has been a few months since I went and I may try to go again, but I really hope things have improved and the owner has gotten a sense to treat the customers with more compassion and friendliness. I wish there was a closer metaphysical store other than this one, but sadly there is not. So, in conclusion, I really do not recommend this shop. The items are decently priced but the blatantly rude owner and negative energy you feel as you enter the store ruins the...
Read moreTL;DR - they do not allow children under the age of 7 in the store
I saw the store while driving and made a quick decision to stop in and hopefully pick out some unique Christmas gifts. I’d never been there before, and I’d never researched their business.
I had my 3 kids with me, one of whom is a baby in arms. When the man came to open the door (it was locked) he said they don’t allow children under 7 in the shop. A woman behind him walked up and said “it’s on our Facebook page”. I said “oh, ok”, and turned the crew around and we left. No point in questioning why they didn’t want my money.
While I don’t know the circumstances that lead them to enact that policy, it’s unfortunate that restricting access is the best course of action they’ve come up with. I won’t take it personally, as previous commenters have had the same experience. It is disappointing. My children didn’t understand what they did wrong and weren’t allowed in. This effort to shop local ended poorly.
Since I didn’t get into the store itself, this review is based solely on that brief interaction of being turned away because I had my...
Read more(1 Star Rating is really because of the rude staff member, I've been here before and enjoyed it, but now, not so much)
I went here yesterday with my son and friend. All I can say is that we did not like the male staff member that was there. He did not give very friendly vibes. It was very uncomfortable. And to all who have children, THEY DO NOT ALLOW CHILDREN UNDER THE AGE OF 7. I do appreciate them letting us in with my baby son, but never again will I visit this place. The male staff member gave off such unfriendly vibes that it upset my son. And as you fellow mothers out there know. Children are very adeptly attuned to the vibes that are given off.
The male staff member was also very rude to my friend when she was cashing out. So rude that he literally got up when we were needing to be cashed out and requested that someone else do it, and proceded to sit nearby and watch his subordinate cash my friend out.
Also, I'm not sure if it is a custom or ritual, but you have to knock on their door to be allowed...
