Went to this GameStop on 18th avenue to purchase a new Xbox series S wired controller for my son .We went to a wall directly across from the cash register where they had plenty on display to choose from ranging in prices from $24.99-$47.99. my son chose the one he wanted ( the first picture ) which had a price tag of $27.99 ,we asked the person behind the register ( who I now know says he was the manager, no name tag) he took it from the locked hook and rang us up and said $44 , my son said how? it’s $27.99 right there on the sticker , the man looked confused at first then said no I’m sorry that’s an old sticker , it’s not your fault it has nothing to do with you some didn’t change the prices back , I said sir that’s ridiculous it’s clearly marked you should have to honor that it’s false advertising, and he just said no I can’t I said are you the manager and he said yes and I haven’t been here a few days I said sir it’s right in front of the register how could you possibly die business like this? I want to speak to your manager so the man goes in a private room that needed a key waited about five minutes then came back and said oh he said the same thing I said this is a horrible way to do business and he really didn’t care. My son still wanted a controller so we asked if he could check the next controller (the second picture) so he didn’t bother to remove it this time and brought the scanner to it and stalled a few seconds before saying no sorry this one is regular price also . Now I can see if they missed one and don’t honor it even though that’s not fair but now “The manager “ sees it’s the whole wall and you still won’t honor it ?? Then to try and say he wasn’t there taking mo responsibility? Well your the one who manages the people in the first place , the store should run smooth with or without you if it’s being done right. The other pictures are all the other controllers with all the wrong sales prices that they will not honor . GameStop you are to big for this type of irresponsibility or at least own up to them that was ridiculous I will get our gaming gear somewhere else , we are not dogs you can just shooo away we put a lot of money into you guys and that’s just bad unfair...
Read moreThis is one of THE best game stops in the city they are extremly nice, great service! Unfortunately this is one of the smallest Game Stops :( Still this game stop has alot of great perks one of the employees is a good pal of mine. What is really good is that i live a little less than a block away so all my gaming needs are completed in a 30 second walk. This game stop has a large variety of games for ps3, psp, wii, nintendo and an extrelmy large selection for XBOX 360 (more than half the store).THIS is a good advantage because i live so close, and it is very convinent,i cant wait to be in those huge black friday lines for GTA 5 and since i live so close i dont need to be on line! Anyways im heading off to pre- order...
Read moreReally impressed with the 2 male employees I see here daily. I don't know about other shifts but I am frequently here, usually before 2 pm. Recently needed cash very badly and had to come in a few times to sell an old Xbox one console, accessories and Xbox games on disk. Employees were always very helpful and willing to go above and beyond to make sure customers leave happy. If Salty reviewers say anything different, I'd bet good money those people came into the store mega rude and forgot the workers are people too. Sadly some believe life is an RPG and everyone else is an NPC put here only to repeat button controls and point you...
