Short Summary: These people rack up in fees as your event gets closer.

Would not recommend it at all.

The venue was beautiful and it was how I imagined my wedding was going to be. But the manager ruined my wedding experience, I had to cancel my event less than a month away with them because they were trying to add so many fees and were forcing me to hire their staff when I specifically told her that I was going to bring my waitresses... she still wanted me to pay 15% in tips even though I told her I did not want her staff. The owner is very greedy and even though we both agreed on a price for flowers, centerpieces, and decorations she decided to change her mind last minute. The manager told me to bring her a picture of how I wanted my centerpieces to look and they said they were going to make them. Yet when I arrived to show her how I wanted my centerpieces she said it was going to be more money, so I decided to cancel the flowers with her. I asked her if I could bring my own and decorate the lamps myself and she said: "no those are our lamps" even though I was renting out the entire venue from her if you want to decorate it will extra $1k. She then went on to say that if my bartender wanted to use the table in the venue it was going to be an extra fee.

The manager never disclosed any of the extra fees for the flowers, for bringing my own stuff, and trying to decorate the lamps or even the bartender table. She decided to rack up the prices last minute because I didn’t want to use the expensive services she wanted to charge me, even though it’s not what we agreed on. I had previously read a comment regarding this issue but decided to try it anyway, but it's all true.

They raise your hopes up and deceive you about how much it will actually cost. As the days go on they begin to increase prices on the things they originally promised on. I had put down a $2k deposit because I was so I love with the venue but I had to loose it because of the “additional fees” she wanted to charge me.

She did mention to me that she was going to give me a credit for it but I told her I was never going back there. I had such a terrible experience and it was all ruined due to her seeing that she can take advantage of me and my situation. My wedding being a month away I had to give up my venue because of them deciding to add fees on top of fees without any previous information. If she would have disclosed the EXTRA fees at the beginning when I originally booked the place then it would have been a different case. They completely took advantage of me and my family. I do not recommend anyone to book their wedding...

We threw our child’s first birthday party at Reception House recently and I highly recommend it those who want a beautiful venue, graceful decorations, phenomenal food and a highly caring and organized team that will help you through the whole party planning experience.

1. Price: The managers at Reception House are very clear and upfront about all the costs during the first consultation and you can discuss the many variables based on your needs. If you need outside vendors for DJ/MC, makeup/hair etc, they make great recommendations. Because they are third party vendors, these costs are separate. They may seem pricey but it is all totally worth it. During the initial consultation, they very clearly explain when and how to make the payments.

2. Organization: While they do basically everything for you, there were a few things that I needed to prepare. They clearly outline what these tasks are and what the timeline is. As long as you follow their guidance, you will be totally fine. They were prompt when responding to my questions and were always eager to help.

3. On the day of the event: The team of managers and servers truly take care of all the nitty gritty tasks so you can focus on hosting and celebrating with your guests. They also communicate effectively with the MC and the photographers, so the party moves from one event to the next smoothly.

4. Feedback from guests: They were all impressed by the decorations and how beautiful the venue was. We had Korean food and the guests raved about how delicious the food was.

Overall, I wish I could give 10 stars instead of 5 based on my experience. If you are looking for a place to celebrate your special day, do not hesitate. I was beyond happy and satisfied with the...

I was there at wedding. we ordered the most expensive banquet. All the service staff, including the owners, were deceivers, they stole our expensive food, meat, crabs, lobsters ... before the start of the celebration they laid themselves full plates of our food and carried it to the kitchen ... without asking for our permission .. .they also stole several bottles of expensive cognac from us... they forced us to pay 18% of the tip ... the place itself is cozy and beautiful ... but the staff is very nasty and greedy ... I don’t recommend this place to anyone ... be very careful and attentive when you order something there .. . all staff including the owners need to check and monitor them ... they promise one thing but they’re doing something completely different ... they are crooks...
