This is one of the places that makes me happy to live in Riverdale. Nestled between the Hudson River and the furthest western street in the Bronx is this beautiful park. It is quiet with many trees and squirrels to keep you company. I sat on log the other day, gazing through the red and yellow leaves at the river. I could actually hear the water lapping at the shore. I spent an hour there reading my book. It is a thin slice of park, but it is fairly long, so you can spend a long time there. The only thing that annoys me about it is the people who walk their dogs without leashes. Read the signs folks, I have enough problems in life, I don't need to worry about your...

I did the blue trail, which is lovely, well marked, and fallen branches and trees are cleared from the path leaving a very obvious trail even when you don’t see the next marker. This park is on a hill looking over New Jersey. There’s a train track along the park. We thought we’d catch the sunset here but the hills across the river block the video. It’s an alright park with a small trail.

It's my hidden weekend gem. It's a lovely place to walk the dogs. The lovely place to meditate. It's a lovely place to go running. It's a little busy during the week so I tend to only go on weekends.
