Interesting house and an easy add-on if you are visiting Rutgers for something. The person at the house was very nice and earnest, but not the most knowledgeable guide I've ever had. Definitely take the brochure - it has lots of interesting details about the house and owners.
Note: it is a lot easier to park near the football practice fields (Lot 48 - follow the signs) and walk to the house on an interpretative path than to follow Google Maps to the River Road entrance which is narrow, steep, and off a busy street. Much easier parking on the Rutgers side too.
