So, I went in this house back around 1980. Way before all the businesses were built around there. Back before the earthquake that closed it down and they fenced it off. The house was creepy back then. I remember going up the stairs, and they were rickety. Creeking and cracking as you put your foot on every step. Also, they would take you down the road to the Spadra Cemetery where all the Phillips are buried. That's all hidden now behind buildings and almost impossible to get to, but back then, you could drive right up to it. House is looking nice these days from what I see in the pics.

We got there early because we wanted to explore the Mansion but instead we were sent in a group of teens early. We even asked to go at our scheduled time but was told to go. It was a bit annoying with the young crowd who have all done this before. I did not enjoy it and I love horror movies and just felt my husband wasted his money on my bday weekend for this. We last finally got to do the attic which ended up being a waste because we already did the tour so her talking about it was like oh. I did like the magic show and the drinks were good. the building was fenced off and not available to the public on a saturday afternoon. i don't know if this is unavailable at all times but that is where i drew some confusion because some previous reviews also state they are closed unless you have a group or on the halloween holiday. i'd like to visit inside of the building because it looks generally in good shape. i'll be sure to do some more homework and see the next time they're available but for the time being i'd take a look at the photos and videos posted because that'll be all that is available while...
