Tanger Outlets Savannah — Attraction in Pooler

The plaza is very well organized and maintained for the most part. The chairs and benches for guests is a nice touch. The restrooms.... not well kept. It doesn’t matter how many people come in and out of there on a given day. These restrooms need to be kept clean. The amount of money that these store pay to have a store front there deserves the respect of well kept restrooms. All stores were obeying covid laws which was nice to see no matter your view points. Some of the lines were crazy long and the GUESTS were not following covid restrictions in the six foot apart section of the line. There were guests right on top of the guests in front of them. The stores cannot control this except place markers on the floor. I waited in one line for old navy and did not see markers in the floor but then people would have to respect the markers and actually use them. I did see some markers at stores but there was not a line. It was super crowded which is good for business but not for covid. I tend not to do well in crowded areas. This outlet mall is pretty darn inconvenient. The traffic around the mall is horrific and the road planning is some of the worst I've seen. Each time I travel through the area, I've had to sit in traffic due to all of the cars backed up at the surrounding intersections.

We checked out a lot of the stores. As expected, the prices were exceptionally high. It used to be that you could find a bargain at an outlet mall. Seems those days are long gone.

It was also apparent that supply line issues are affecting the clothing industry as well. Many of the stores had empty shelves and thin racks. Large and XL sizes are non-existent in some of the stores.

Many of the stores were desperate for employees. They had signs up begging for applicants and some had tables set up in the stores (plenty of room due to inventory issues) for people to fill out an app on the spot.

Overall, a good place. What I'm not happy with with Tanger Outlets is that they want you to spend your money there and give you incentives to spend there instead of other malls but when it comes to turning in your receipts to claim the rewards, they would not honor the receipts. They should give you at least a few weeks past the end of the year to turn them in for your rewards. I spent lots of money in December including Dec 30th but didn't have the time to go have all the receipts stamped and logged in their computer because of time restraints. I took my receipts from Dec. back the 1st week of Jan. to claim receipts and they said you had to do it by Dec. 31st and I lost out on the free gift card I should have gotten. They should be more considerate of their customers time , money, and ability to make it to customers...
