I live in Siloam so this is the most convenient theater. I've tried it a few times but, after previous experiences and yesterday evening, I will not be returning. I realize that Monday nights are not typically busy. That said, here is my experience.
We (my family of 5) arrived at 6:30 ish for the 6:45 showing of Fantastic Beasts. The popcorn wasn't stale but was NOT fresh. It may have been leftover from an earlier showing. This I understand. They were out of almost all soft drinks except for Pepsi, Strawberry Fanta, and Diet Dr. Pepper. Again, that's not a total deal breaker unless you ask my youngest who only likes Sprite/Sierra Mist. I ordered a large combo (popcorn and two drinks) and asked if I could get slushes for the drinks since there were so few other options. He said he wasn't allowed to do that. I asked if it was just a matter of an upcharge and he said no, slushes only come in small cups so he just couldn't do that. Fine.
So we all get $3 bottles of water, our not-so-fresh popcorn and 4 Dibs ice creams. We are alone in the theater with one other gentleman. After opening the ice creams, we discover that they had previously partially melted and refrozen so were mostly solid blocks. My kids aren't too picky with ice cream so they didn't mind. They ate them like push-pops. My husband and I threw ours away.
The theater had not been cleaned between showings. There was a black trash bag draped over one of the seats in the front row so perhaps they had meant to but forgot. I don't care about some popcorn on the floor but there were quite a few drink/snack containers in the seats. That's just as much rude patrons as the workers though. Also, the lights never went off. I find that weird. The theater was FREEZING. Now, I'm always cold so I brought a throw blanket with me. I assumed it was just me until the kids started complaining. We all kept our coats on the entire time. One bonus, the armrests fold up so we were able to snuggle. Even the other gentleman's teeth were chattering when we left.
All in all, we enjoyed the movie but the experience was not so great. I'd rather spend $72 at another theater, even if it does mean a drive. The staff was nice but not particularly helpful, the food and drink choices were extremely minimal for the prices expected, and the theater was so cold it was extremely uncomfortable. I'm sad that there isn't a good...
Read moreWe watched Deadpool and Wolverine on 7/27. Went in for the 7:00 showing. The usher taking our tickets was kinda wierd. Not in uniform(graphic shirt), no eye contact, and didn't speak. We assumed it was just a person standing there waiting on a friend. We walked by and he reached for our print out in my hand. After ripping it in half, he just sorta went back to standing there. Never greeted us, never pointed us to the right room.
We arrived 20 mins before the showing. It was already darkened with nothing but the ambient lights on. The theater room was a mess...popcorn all over the ground, the trashcans in the room were full, like spilling out full. There were 2 showings before ours. Our showing was only half full, I can't imagine those being full from just the previous show.
The sound system sounded old and broken. The dialog from the movie was distorted like a blown speaker was playing it. And it was coming from just the front of the room. The songs, and the sound effects all sounded clear enough and sorta Dolby surround sound i guess. The ambient blue lights on the wall were too bright and distracting. I thought they would dim after the movie started. The movie projector was not bright enough, and the ambient lights made it hard to see dark scenes. I cant imagine watching an actual horror film. We Would make the 30 min drive to a better...
Read moreReally disappointed in how we were treated here tonight by the gentleman that appeared to be in charge. I heard him snap at a woman when we first walked in, and then he did the same thing to me after leaving the room marked as âinside out 2â because that wasnât the movie playing. When I asked if he could help me he acted so annoyed and then he told me itâs playing in a different room marked âdespicable meâ and acted like I should have just somehow known that! When I asked how I was supposed to know that info if the movie listed was different than what was playing, he told me they should have let me know at the front. When I said they hadnât, he said nothing and walked off annoyed. For $20 more Iâll just drive to Rogerâs next time and at least be treated with good customer service and respect. It was just overall not a good experience, especially after a couple of decent experiences here. Bad day or not, you just shouldnât be rude to customers. I was asking very...
