I’m off to a great start on my healing journey, thanks to Serenity!!! My first visit was for a session in the Salt Cave (which is the most beautiful thing I’ve ever seen, btw). It comes with a sad backstory: It was a beautiful Saturday, but I was feeling a bit of angst and was hoping that the salt cave would calm my nerves a bit. Life has been beyond stressful, between single motherhood, finances due to my procrastination on selling my former residence, work load issues, a car wreck, etc.. So, I head out to my appointment and was driving down Lenora Church Rd. when a large dog bolted from the woods right in front of my car. I tried so hard to not hit him, but unfortunately I did (and mortally wounded him). I pulled over as the owner came running out (the kids had apparently opened the door without securing the dog first, and the dog bolted), and I got out of my car and went into full panic attack right there on the side of the road. It was one of the most traumatizing experiences, and it sent me to the deep, dark, painful, lonely, devastating places in my mind. I couldn’t stop crying. I couldn’t stop hyperventilating. Once it was time to leave, I thought about cancelling my appointment but decided to proceed. I walked into the spa with tears running down my face, despite knowing that there was nothing I could’ve done to change the outcome and that I was so lucky I didn’t cause a huge pileup from the line of cars behind me when I braked. So, I curled up in the corner of the cave and buried as much of my body as I could in the salt gravel. I didn’t sleep, but I meditated and tried to focus on the healing and cleansing aspects of my current situation. I left feeling, much to my surprise, better. I, obviously still had tempuras and sorrow for the life I took and the greater impact it was surely having on the family, but the sense of guilt and panic left me, and I felt peace and gratitude. My next visit was for a Yin Yoga session. It was incredibly relaxing, and the atmosphere was welcoming. I’m generally intimidated, but that was quickly dispelled. I also have aversions to meditating around other people, so yoga groups can be a bit scary. I felt none of that fear after I walked in the door. After that, yesterday with my bonus mom, I attended a Sound Therapy session in the salt cave, and let me tell you— it was MAGICAL. I had no idea what to expect, and I had no idea the positive impact it would have on me. I fell into a fairly deep meditation during the session and found my body began to twitch/convulse/move with various vibrations (you know the Hand from Addams Family— my right hand started moving on its own accord, and I imagine it has something to do with a recent injury to my right arm). It was bizarre and intoxicating. I could go on and on with the strange physical sensations produced in my body, but there are so many. I feel like I’m generally an ā€œenergy suckā€ wherever I go— like, I emit so much energy uncontrollably that it can be overwhelming. By the end of the session, I felt balanced. I had to wait for a while to drive while my body resettled. After that, we attended the evening Restorative Yoga session, and it was such a beautiful wind down on the day. I felt prepared to take on the week ahead, thanks to my Sunday of spiritual healing work. I have some issues with sleep— lucid dreams (that are super fun but prevent restful sleep), night terrors, night paralysis, sleep eating, chronic nightmares my entire life, and I generally find that my sleep pattern is spending very little time in deep, restorative sleep because I’m generally in dreamland. My chart from last night speaks wonders to the power of taking the time for myself and my soul, as I spent more time in deep sleep than I EVER have before. I’ll share the before and after graphs in this post. The before is a representation of how my chart normally looks. The after is last night after my visits to the spa with no other changes to my process or medications. Also, ignore the snoring— I’ll deny it 😁

I came here for fathers day and because it has been on my bucket list of holistic experiences. I did my intake forms online for my . I suffer from sinus issues and bad allergies. I didn't realize the salt cave could help. The check in was easy. The bathroom is immaculate. To use it you have to walk past the washing machine and dryer area where they clean all the blankets and towels customers use. The place has so many items and gift ideas I was overwhelmed. They even had farm fresh eggs and natural soda brand I have never heard of before. The salt cave was cold. Also no electronics allowed. Socks on the feet . But they have plenty of blankets. We laid down on the floor in the salt. The music and sound of the water was very calming. My eyes teared up as if my body was trying to push something out. and I focused on taking deep breaths to get the most out of our experience. Around the 15 min mark we fell asleep and when we were woken up it felt like longer than a 45 minute session. They offer so many services here besides the salt cave such as Epsom float and massages/ detox. Overall great experience I will be returning. Thank you!

Now, this is a real hidden gem! Located in Snellville, GA, the Saltville Grotto is a spa centered around peace & serenity. I guess you could say all spas are, but this place, or maybe the ppl, made this an extra special day for me. I felt very relaxed and rejuvenated & two days later, I'm still feeling the effects of it all. Get your teas, sage, stones, incense & much more. Make plans to indulge yourself with a private/couples massage, foot detox, etc. I had a great time during my Salt Cave Yoga experience. Thank you & I'll see you again soon.

We enjoyed our couples massage as our therapist Renee & Glenda did a superb job! The facility was clean with notes of theme related decor and beautiful jewelry pieces, teas, and more for sale. The staff were polite and welcoming as well. The only downside during our visit was the noise/conversation outside of our room by other clients, although there was a sign on the door to let others know a session was in progress. Upon entering the facility there is a sign that says use your library voice and they clearly didn’t. The longer they spoke, the louder they got, disrupting the ambiance on our VERY FIRST VISIT. My therapist politely asked them to quiet down, however, they didn't initially but finally stopped once their session started. I could understand the talking if the other clients were receiving instructions but it was mostly random conversation followed by instructions. Outside of that inconvenience, our overall experience was excellent! We hope to make it back soon to try the couples massage in the salt cave, foot detox, float therapy and...
