Ideal Image is very professional & knowledgeable and helpful up until they get you to sign a contract. After that it is all but impossible to obtain an appointment as the wait time is always at least 20+ min on the phone. Once someone does come on the line the next available appts are approx 4-6 away. Wow, okay so I made my next few appts. The first appt went as planned in Sugarland. About 2 hours before my 2nd appt, they called to inform me the nurse was sick & tried to reschedule me, several weeks out. I explained I planned my day off around this appt & they magically obtained a nurse to do the procedure (laser hair removal). The day before my 3rd appt I thought it odd they hadnāt sent me several texts, e-mails, phone calls repeatedly asking me to confirm my appt as this was their practice. I hadnāt heard anything so I called to confirm. Good thing because I learned the Sugarland facility was shut down for water damage! No one had bothered to inform their scheduled clients. I explained my frustration & I was fit in at the Washington heights location. Moving forward I tried to transfer my appts to the Heights location. They were booked so I attempted to continue at the SL location. Repairs were complete & they were supposedly ready. The day before my next appt I received a call informing me their nurse had just quit & I would need to re-schedule for about 6 weeks out. I again explained my increasing level of frustration & asked to be refunded. I would just go elsewhere. I was told I would receive a call from their manager. That never happened but they magically produced a nurse to perform the procedure the next day. I showed up as scheduled & upon getting ready to perform the procedure the machine didnāt work LOL!! Iām actually writing this review as Iām waiting for them to trouble shoot, hoping it starts working as I drove 30 min on my day off to get through this. I requested, again to speak to a manager and Julie (who has been very apologetic & tried multiple times to assist in a solution, she was sweet & professional the whole time) informed me the manager was probably not available as she went to the hospital last night.
Currently I was just informed the machine is down & they will comp me an extra treatment plus Botox for my inconvenience. They did create an appointment for me late this evening at the Washington Heights location. Extremely inconvenient as I had plans for dinner with my family that I have to move around. Again. I never did speak to a manager not on the phone not in person, the poor receptionist is left to deal with all of this. Iāve believe sheās way better at it.
I realize things happen but If I had it to do over I wish I had never signed up for my laser hair removal treatments with the Ideal Image corporation. This is a considerable financial commitment & they have created frustration, multiple phone calls a huge time suck in the process. Think long & hard before signing up for all...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreUpdate [to Ideal Image]: A generic "please contact us" is a non-response. If you read my review closely you'll see one of my complaints is that my efforts at communication are being ignored while you continue to attempt to collect funds from me. My August 8th email is still unanswered. My BBB response, posted August 31st, is also unanswered. This update was posted October 6, 2025.
I purchased a full-body laser hair removal package at Ideal Image for $7,999.01 after a phone consultation. I was told their pricing was ācompetitiveā and they were running a limited time promotion, so I was getting a good price on the package. I felt pressured to sign on because of this deal. I later checked local providers that use the same Candela laser technology and found comparable full-body packages from multiple clinics for under $3,000, offering the same number of sessions or more. In my view, Ideal Imageās pricing representations were misleading.
My package was 8 full-body sessions, each split into 3 appointments, so I was to attend 24 appointments. I attended 1 of the 24 and then started the cancellation process. I was bounced between clinic and corporate. The clinic told me corporate oversaw cancellations and corporate told me it was up to the clinic to decide. By email I was told they wouldnāt cancel per the contract, and later on a call corporate said there was only a 72-hour window after signing.
When I raised the pricing issue, corporate insisted their pricing was competitive, despite proof showing otherwise.
I requested to handle the matter by email from then on out as I was getting inconsistent responses from multiple parties. I received repeated phone calls for 2 days until I reiterated my request, after which the calls finally stopped. They offered to switch me to a different clinic or treatments but I no longer wish to do business with them after being misled multiple times now.
Ideal Image has also asserted that the full contract price had already been applied to āservices rendered,ā effectively stating that they are valuing 1 appointment (1 appointment of 24, and not even a full session) at the full contract price of $7,999.01. They refused to discuss financial matters by email, citing HIPAA, despite my written consent to communicate by email. When I pointed this out, they stopped responding to my attempts at communication.
As of today, my last email (sent Aug 8, 2025) has not been answered.
I posted my complaint to the BBB website. They promptly replied with more phone calls, despite my multiple requests to keep things in email. They posted a response on the site telling me to call their customer service, to which I once again reiterated I would only proceed in writing (my response was posted Aug 31st, 2025). They have not replied nor reached out and have since been ignoring me as they continue to attempt to collect the full $7999.01 from me for services I have...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreI bought a 16 month laser hair removal package, and received every treatment at the Sugarland location.
First, I'll make a couple of critical comments about Ideal Image's somewhay shady sales approach.
It should be explained before signing the contract how extremely painful laser hair removal is. It was never mentioned until my first appt when I was asked how my pain tolerance was. I said well I've got tattoos and the girl chuckled and said good! I do have tattoos and the level of pain during the laser hair removal was nearly unbearable. I had to repeatedly ask to take a break every few seconds. I would've walked away on the first appointment if I could've, but I would have not received any refund whatsoever if I did. After each laser treatment, I developed a horribly ugly and irritating histamine reaction that required me to take antihistamines for days leading up to and after each and every treatment. Apparently, about 25% of people develop this reaction to the lasers.
I paid for laser hair removal on my legs and 3 other areas as a part of a discounted package, but was deemed medically ineligible AFTER signing the contract. It feels fishy that you aren't asked about disqualifying conditions before signing the contract and paying upfront. If I knew I could not get my legs done, I wouldn't have gotten anything done! Instead, I paid almost $4,000 for laser hair removal in areas that weren't that important to me!
Now on to my review of my laser hair removal experience at the Sugarland location.
I didn't have any major issues with scheduling, only a few annoying random cancellations and instances of not being able to get anyone to answer the phone.
The two nurses that took care of me at this location, Rumor and Denisely, were extraordinary. Knowledgeable, personable, professional, kind, and comforting. My biggest compliment to both of them is how professional they were and how comfortable they made me feel during my sessions.
I got laser hair removal done on my underarms, bikini area, and front of neck, and the results are mind-blowing. I have PCOS, and with that comes lots of facial hair. I have tried everything for decades to get rid of it, including other types of laser hair removal, and nothing has worked. I started noticing results after just a few sessions at Ideal Image. After the full series of treatments, all of my facial hair is either completely gone or so lightly pigmented that it's not noticeable. The results for my underarms are about 75% successful. I still have some slow-growing, soft and lightly pigmented hair, but I have not felt the need to shave for like a year! I am also really really happy with the results on my bikini area with about...
