We LOVED this place. Dogtown Lake campsite was well kept, the campground hosts were so sweet, beautiful weather, and the lake was breathtaking! We loved it so much we stayed a second night.

Beautiful views. Nice campground. The area is being way too overfished though, fisherman every 10 to 30 feet so there were only tiny crappie when my husband and I were there last weekend.

Cleanest bathrooms ever! Wildlife close to the woods if you get up early. Spacious campgrounds. 11 miles to nearest civilization. When we were there a pit bull at one of the sites attacked a little dog out for a walk with their owners. He busted the rope he was on. The little dog was badly injured and required emergency treatment. People! STOP BRINGING YOUR AGGRESSIVE DOGS TO CAMPSITES. JUST BECAUSE THEY ARE NICE TO YOUR FAMILY DOESN'T MEAN THEY WILL BE...

Nice small lake, which they stock with rainbow trout. No swimming. Kayaks can be rented. No gas motors on boats. Parking areas are tight. There are pit toilets and a host in the RV Park and day use area. If you enjoy geocaching, there are lots to be found. Pack it in and pack it out. Nice...

I love bringing the family here to relax and fish. My only and common complaint is people who have no common curtesy with their kayaks and paddleboard floating w close to shore where your fishing line is. And those who treat the lakes like it's the beach, or like lake...
