Sun Wheel — Attraction in Đà Nẵng

We visited the Sun Wheel Adventure Park on Tuesday evening (June 24th, 2025) around 5:30–6 PM. To our surprise, the place was almost deserted — the staff-to-visitor ratio felt like 1:1, which made it feel oddly peaceful but lacking in energy.

The park itself is clean, well-maintained, and offers a relaxing environment. Ride intensity overall is mild. Many rides, shops and other sections like open-air theatre were non functional at the time. However, there was a multi-screen setup, seemingly aimed at kids, was playing short, light films or animations, but even this area was largely empty.

The main attraction, the Sun Wheel, offers great views of the city, but it moves very slowly. It seems to enjoy the city and not for the thrill. Since our hotel room was already at a higher vantage point, we chose to skip it.

Tips: • Entry is free, so you can walk in, explore, and then decide which rides (if any) you want to try. • Ride tickets are available at individual counters, so there’s no need to commit to anything at the entrance. • Parking is easily available. • Washrooms are very clean and well maintained — a big plus.

Entry to the park / the Ferris wheel in Da Nang is very cheap. Offers good views. We went at night and while leaving the top, the lights on our compartment flickered abruptly and then went out as we heard some sudden loud creaking / some jerking motion in the cabin. It was quite scary actually and we all had to keep conversation going to reduce the initial panic.
