Great inclusions and price. We flew up for a wedding nearby and have a king room with a view. Other guests were suggested to stay at other more expensive hotels however they ddnt include a view or breakfast like our booking did so we feel pretty happy we booked at the Greenmount. Our room was clean, spacious enough for a porto cot for our baby and we ddnt have to fold the pram down either. The breakfast had a great selection of pretty much anything you'd want to eat, we were very happy with it as well as the staff at breaky and the front desk were very helpful. Won't hesitate to stay again and I like how they have painted or changed they're decor to modernise the hotel as it is an older style but they've used that to their advantage and I really liked the modern and old touches.

Still a great place to visit/stay clean and tidy rooms, right on Greenmount Point Greenmount Beach family friendly swimming pool and 50 metres to the beach 150 metres to the main street of Coolangatta restaurants and cafes and shops pub's all within walking distance of Greenmount resort, Built in 1980 my mother worked there back then so Greenmount Point was our after school and holidays day care swimming and surf Nippers learning everything about the Ocean great and should be compulsory for all Australians we live in the water it saves lives. Greenmount beach is beautiful at sunrise or sunset for photography surrounded by Kirra beach and Snapper Rocks either side of it the Surfing capital of not only Australia but the world...

I could write an essay on this place and the pathetically uncaring attitude of the manager. Over the 50 years we have been going to the Gold Coast this was the worst experience we have ever had. This accommodation is so outdated that we could not get into our room late at night as the key would not work! We had a lengthy wait( over 1 hour and the time the manager ( see below) states of 30 mins is entirely incorrect and misleading...to be expected) in the foyer for a mobile security guard to come and let us in. Vital medications could not be accessed . The stressful nature of this cannot be underestimated as we are not young. The care factor of the manager was non existent. She should not be working in this position. Her lack of communication ( she took 7 days to respond and that was AFTER 2 phone calls and an email!!) and the disrespectful manner we were shown throughout our complaint was totally unacceptable to paying guests! Good luck parking in this soon to be demolished place( does that that tell you something??). Construction workers from next door have permission by management to park in the inadequate parking lot. You will have to probably find a spot ( if you can find one) in the busy street. Be careful to avoid a parking fine as others have experienced! So much for caring first about guests. Does that tell you something about this place? Care factor is terrible. This is a short version of what transpired but suffice to say, go there at your own peril...you have been warned. Best to pay a bit more and experience some respect and a better holiday. You do know that price usually dictates quality.

The 'substantial discount' the manager has stated was for a discount on a 1 night stay . So vey generous isn't it! Who in their right mind would want to stay there again after our experience ??

0 Rooms 1.0Service 2.0Location3.0 Response from the owner 4 days ago Dear Mr. Pavlos,

Thank you for sharing your feedback. We regret that your experience with us did not meet your expectations. We understand that the key issue during your stay was frustrating, and we acted promptly to resolve it by sending our security team to assist you within 30 minutes. We recognise that any inconvenience can be stressful, particularly after a long day, and we did our best to address the situation quickly.

We also want to acknowledge that we made several efforts to resolve your concerns. Our manager reached out with a formal apology and offered a substantial discount for a future stay, hoping to make amends. However, we found that your subsequent communication, both in calls and emails, became personal and confrontational. While we are committed to providing excellent service, we ask that interactions remain respectful and constructive. Mutual respect is essential in resolving any issues effectively.

Regarding the parking situation, we are aware of the challenges caused by nearby construction and are actively working to improve the parking experience for our guests. We apologise for any inconvenience this has caused and appreciate your understanding as we work on improvements.

We value all guest feedback and continue to use it to enhance our services. Should you choose to stay with us again, we hope for more respectful and constructive communication moving forward.

Kind regards,

Greenmount...

I've been dumped over the border by the Qld police, then they claimed I was unlicensed in Qld with my valid NSW licence. And no none of of the forty or fifty officer or volunteers that directed me to drive over the border. I was not trying to pass. Now asked me if I still had the hep C that was on my file twenty years ago, and all refused to drive my Mercedes-Benz 50 metres back to NSW zone. They jeered at me that none of them were going to catch hep C by sitting in my car, already coated in garbage bags and drenched in sanitizer . All border crossers were supposed to be in 14 day lockdown. Of course I not escorted to lockdown by any of these officers. I didn't want to cross the qld border. When I located the border control setup patrolled by Qld officers. I stated to the first officer, that I was on the wrong arterial listening to google, asking where I can turn around to head back toward tweed heads River. The officer that made me come forward in my vehicle and guided me further up the border stop tent setup. He said I know her. Are you still an alcoholic, he asked me. I have not been in the company of a Qld policeman for more than 11 years. I have no record since. This was the most terrifying experience any one has Put me in. The hotel was wonderful. Three next day I paid an angel taxi driver 300 to drive my Mercedes-Benz 50 down the left side of the road. So I could now safety legally stone in NSW with my valid licence. I drove all night, back to my abusive partner I was trying to escape from. I'm thanking all my angels that I didn't not get fined by those same offices 600000 for not living in a quarantine home or place in Qld diet 14 days. Did that officer break the law or did he...

Very limiting information given at check-in, however I was able to pay on arrival which was a positive. Our 20mo pulled rubbish out from under the bed that the cleaners had obviously missed. Rooms are quite dated, photos look like the rooms have been renovated. Shower curtains had mould on them as well as some on the ceiling. Bathroom could really use a reno and an exhausted fan put in as it is an extremely small room. Tea/coffee and cups and saucers were provided but there were no bowls/plates/knives/forks/toaster which would have been good to have as the restaurant was closed still due to COVID and we have 2 small children. Beds were old, could feel the springs, could do with replacement. The balcony is very small, the aircon unit is on the balcony and leaks. A screen door would be good so you could have the fresh air without letting in bugs and insects. Elevators are small and no ventilation in them either, up/down buttons on some floors do not work making it hard to get from floor to floor. Rooms have great potential but have been neglected. Staff were nice and helpful enough. It is in a great location. Felt it was overpriced for what we got, probably wouldn't stay again. I hate leaving a 'bad' review but had we have seen true photos of the rooms and what is/isn't included we probably would have paid more to...
