🚨Very DISAPPOINTING UNPLEASANT experience – would not recommend 🚨
I stayed at the Millennium Hotel in Paphos and unfortunately had a very unpleasant experience. Guests should be aware that rooms have connecting doors (locked, but not soundproof), so you can hear everything from the neighbouring room — conversations, TV, etc. It was impossible to sleep. This is NOT mentioned in the booking details. Also the doorknobs on the doors to enter the room are broken so all guest SLAM their doors when they leave their rooms.
The room itself was also not very clean, and when I raised the issue, the staff were unhelpful. One man with grey hair at reception was particularly rude and antagonising me, while the other staff members were at least polite. Because the problem couldn’t be resolved, I ended up cancelling my booking and moving to another place in Paphos.
The food at the hotel restaurant is also not to be recommended. I ordered a pizza for €13, which turned out to be a cheap supermarket pizza simply heated up in the oven.
Overall, this was one of the WORST HOTEL EXPERIENCES I’ve had — poor cleanliness, rude service, and no sound insulation. I would strongly advise looking for another hotel in Paphos if you want to enjoy...
Read moreReally loud, dog won't stop barking in the yard. Not many tourists were staying here, I think the appartments are rented out to locals. The front door doesn't lock from the inside which leaves you on edge when going to sleep. When you do go to sleep you will wake up sweating, for some reason the room is a lot hotter at night than during the day. The room stinks of paint however it's clear that no painting or decorating has been done since the 80s. The pool is accross the road in a separate part of the hotel and you have to walk through the bar to get to it, nobody near the pool and when I walked to it to have a look, just locals in the bar staring at you. Overall I feel there's no holiday atmosphere here, it feels like you're staying on a local council estate (it actually looks like a council estate from the UK) especially with the dog barking all night. Blankets and pillows are paper thin, bath never been cleaned properly and filled with scum. A mile walk from the harbour, 2 miles walk to town. Only positive is the price however this hotel was booked by someone else in my party, if I had booked I would have paid the extra and chosen somewhere else, there are loads of gorgeous hotels down on...
Read moreBooked a room on the first floor, got one on the ground floor. Consequently, we had to have the windows covered all the time. The room next door was being renovated so it was noisy in the morning. Once, the cleaning stuff did not respected the fact to wait a minute and just entered the room. Early in the morning. Another thing that bothered me was that they provide two small bottles of shampoo and two of shower gel but NO soap. Also, the cleaning stuff throws away things that are not trash like they throw away a half of toilet paper roll. It wasnt clear at what time they do come and clean but when they finally do come what they do is just make ur bed even if its already made by you:) also, the room had like one socket availeable so u had to decide whether you want to plug in a fridge, a cattle or ur devices. Summing UP the cleaning personel was annoying, the room was not well equipped. Could have...
