I state that the ‘Myo hotel Caruso’ was not attended by me by choice but was chosen and recommended by a travel agency (of which I will not mention the name) to my professors who took the class on a trip to Prague for 5 days. ‘Everything seems to be fine until they give everyone a printed sheet with the hotel ‘regulation’ (a sheet written at the moment with absurd clauses ABSOLUTELY not agreed before departure and out of the contract) where it was written that we all wouldn’t have had the towel change; shameful and ignoble for a 4-star hotel. At first I had no intention of signing the rules and I turned to the reception, then to the manager and finally they advised me to talk to the Italian manager who every time seemed to disappear when I was looking for her. There are no words to describe the rudeness, dishonesty, hypocrisy and indifference of these people. They explained to me that being a group and ‘Italian’ we did not boast of all their normal services. (but this is also to be seen...). Subsequently being a vegetarian and having reported it before departure I expected a decent menu instead they dismissed me with a salad of only vegetables and 2 boiled eggs from the breakfast of the day before or who knows ... Trying to solve the problem I talk to the chef who was trying to ask me what he should do, as if I myself was the chef (at this point better cooking myself ). After this nightmare without solving anything, on the day of departure we all get on the bus straight to the airport when my professor realizes that the deposit of 30 euros given by 43 people was missing about 166 euros.
4 of these people paid the security deposit in crowns and then asked him for 10 euros less and among other things this money had been put in another envelope with 80 euros written on it that was not given. The tourist tax instead of being about 2 euros for 5 days was set on its own initiative by the hotel at 8 euros. Everyone had to have 22 euros back.
Making a calculation if we were meant to have 2 euros in addition to the 20 we should have had 86 euros. Money that has become 7 euros. In short, all the management should be totally replaced so as not to count the walls and doors of the hotel that make every single noise shine through as if they were sugar paste.
The single rooms plus were passed off as quadruple and we didn't have an easy life inside narrow and crushed like animals. The breakfast deserved 1 and a half stars for politeness. Dinner as well. All pre-cooked, of poor quality or expired.
The structure and interiors need to be renovated, now they are hit by a veil of dusty melancholy and heaviness as much as I love the Art Nouveau style and art nouveau. The spaces are not large at all. Not even a star should be awarded to a hotel that has lost its soul in all respects. To conclude between rudeness, total rudeness and cheating, do not come to this hotel for any reason if you are used to honesty and things done in an appropriate...
Read moreWe stayed at this hotel from 15 to 18 October for my birthday trip to Prague, something we had been looking forward to for weeks. Unfortunately, our experience was absolutely disappointing from the very beginning.
When we arrived, we were told there were “technical issues,” and we had to wait three hours before we could even check into our room. We tried to stay patient, but things only got worse. On 17 October at around 11:00 a.m., we received a call from reception telling us that our last night had been cancelled and that we had to leave the room by 12:30 p.m. — without any prior notice or reasonable explanation!
The only “alternative hotel” they offered was already fully booked, leaving us stressed and wasting hours of our holiday trying to figure out where to stay.
To make it even worse, we had already paid €30 for parking and €4.40 for the city tax in cash, and we were told it was impossible to get the money back in cash — which is ridiculous. They promised the refund would come through Booking.com, but we only received the refund for the room itself. Until today, we still have not received the €34.40 that we are owed.
This entire experience ruined what was supposed to be a relaxing and joyful trip. The way we were treated was completely unprofessional and unacceptable.
⚠️ Do NOT book this hotel if you want a nice and stress-free holiday. There are plenty of better and more reliable...
Read moreI spent 5 nights at this hotel. The room was okay; clean and nice, and Billy from the reception was very helpful. There is a sound, maybe from water pipes that woke me up couple nights. You can hear it during the days too. The location was excellent; walking distance to old town and museum metro station just around the corner.||The biggest disappointment was breakfast. They serve breakfast for students early in the morning and during that time the selection is even worse and the hotel customers are made to sit ”in the kitchen”. We tried to ask for nicer table but it was impossible because there was ”student settings” at the tables. All the tables were empty and I would rather had just a paper napking if they would have let us sit in those tables, but no. They just said that we should have known there is students in the morning..but nobody never said anything about this, even when we specificly asked if the breakfast started 7.30. The selection for food was very poor even later on, after students..only one kind of very dry bread..I think they did no get any fresh bread during that five days. And maybe warm dishes (sausages and eggs) were warm to students but for us they were already cold. |We had about twenty friends around the city at the same time and they all had lovely breakfasts. |Because of awful breakfast and rood staff at the breakfast we would ni go back...
